For San Antonio, Victor Wembanyama had the game-saving block and led the way with 33 points, 16 rebounds, 7 assists, and 7 blocks while aided by Devin Vassell (25 points, 8 assists) in the victory. Cam Thomas finished with 31 points, 5 assists, and 2 steals with Dennis Schroder adding 19 points and 7 assists for Brooklyn in the losing effort. San Antonio improves to 15-53, while Brooklyn moves to 26-42 in the loss.

    One thing that amazes me about Victor is his confidence. He missed six three-pointers in a row and still had the big guts to pull up for the seventh because the game demanded it. He's completely unafraid to fail.

      This is actually his biggest weakness: shooting three-pointers a big part of his game. He's not scaring teams that way. 1-for-7 tonight hurt the Spurs.

      Modern Wilt is a 40 - 15 - 10 - 5 on a regular basis.

      No he’s not. Evidence of how excessive the hype was. Not impactful in the win column yet. Which makes the plot line better for me. I love that every player has many flaws and room for growth. Plus, it’s a team sport. So teammates affect everything.

      No he's not. He is very inconsistent from game to game, and relies too much on shooting threes, and tries to dribble without success. He gets pushed around by many centers in the league. So he's not better than the hype, but he's ROTY and learning his way in the NBA.

      I feel honored and lucky to see his early years before he even steps into his prime. The kid is absolutely ridiculous the shit he does every game. Even when he struggles offensively, hes still a major threat on the court given his size and IQ, knowing where to be and being one pass away on defense to everyone on the court. Put him on a contending team today, theres nothing he has to improve on to be the key and x factor to a chip. Any improvement is just bonus, the guy is ridiculous

      Yep, but I was really impress with the execution on that Fastbreak. He made it seem real easy, but i've seen most point-guards over-dribble on FB opportunities like that. For him it was split -second instinct... It's Wemby's natural feel for the game that almost ALL of us never knew he had... AND he's got it at 20-yrs old. It's really hard to teach that, and predict that...

Victor is also averaging more points, rebounds, and steals than Magic did with fewer minutes played. Magic also played alongside that year's MVP, which made reaching and winning the Finals much easier.
