I am an Aussie and watched a hooligan attempting to burn the Union Jack at the monument for soldiers, the police strong handled a woman who was appalled at his action rather than pepper spray him and arrest him. I am appalled and feel for the people of London.

As a long retired Metropolitan Police officer the current situation in London is heartbreaking. Under the Children’s and Young Persons Act one of the places of safety was a police station. It was always our mantra to ensure parents didn’t admonish their kids by saying “if you do this or don’t do this I will take you to a police station”. A police officer was not just there to ask the time or directions, he/she was there to protect you. What has Khan done to ruin my London?
I remember those days back in the sixties when there were still some Bobbies on the beat. We felt that they would help us if we needed them to and punish those that threatened us by breaking laws. Respected because respectable for the most of them. Very different to today. There should be no partisan nonsense their job is to protect the public, no? I'd be interested to know what oath they take and to whom.
There are very few police stations left, any there are are locked and you have to hope someone is actually there, bit like churches, supposed to offer sanctuary but are now locked.
Its quite simple what he has done. He has told the police they cant arrest a mucklim, but they can arrest white British people flying a British flag. He needs deporting. I dont care that he was born here, his parents are from Pakistan and they are all mucklims. So he and his extended family need deporting. We have to punish these mucklims by deporting them AND all of their family, born here of not. If this continues there are going to be serious violent clashes with the police and mucklims.
The Police are not want they used to be and i would not trust them one bit now and after the problems my family had.
We are nearer civil war then any time i can remember.
The UK has fallen and i think part of the problems is who we have let in on our soil.

By coincidence, it was at the same time as a certain ethnic type started to flood the area and the people who'd lived there for generations started to move out...
My Mum grew up and lived in Earls Court, it’s a different planet now. I live in SE London but my kids can’t afford to rent or buy.

Was born in Stepney, lived, and work ones early life there, and London outskirts, which then, was Essex, yet later became, Greater London ... Come 1973, one's intuition said, "Get out of hear", and one did, relocating with ones family unit, to the wolds of Suffolk/Norfolk; and, never really looked back, unless of course, to visit Family, or necessary business!
In fact, one dreads the thought of even going back to ones roots, or visiting any Major Cities within UK again, or World come to think of it!

I won’t travel into London anymore like I used to. My wife and I are both retired and loved coming into London for theatre,eating out,shopping. December last,caught a train at 10pm from Mooregate to Hertfordshire and was harassed going into the station ,managed to swerve any trouble but was unnerving,just glad to get home that night in one piece.was supposed to go to a meeting in London on Monday night but made up an excuse so’s not to go. Sad I Q Khant has destroyed the London I once knew.

I lived in London for 5 years from 96-2001 and it was barely recognisable even then. I remember telling a friend that it was no longer British. To prove the point, I asked 6 people if they had the time, only one of them spoke English. That was 23 years ago.
I also lived in London then and now everywhere I go it’s whiter. King’s Cross, Brixton, Peckham, Hackney …… I know overall that’s not true but all I see is gentrification and more professionals who all speak great English. And Harrow road area looked exactly the same . Big mix of Muslim/blacks plus more affluent white people in Notting Hill, Maida Vale, Queen’s Park. Also crime was worse back then when I first moved there.

It seems the police have got things slightly upside down. Having an opinion is greeted with heavy police intervention, yet shops being ransacked and robbed, individuals being knifed is barely investigated.
