      Many sprinters have celebrated early or looked down at their opponents only to slow down so much that they ended up losing. What is the rationale of disrespecting your opponent anyway?
      "I didn't beat you by much but that's just because I wasn't trying very hard" what an odd way of competing. I would rather be beaten fair and square by someone giving their max.

      Exactly noah could have raced at his absolute best and to the average veiwer it woul still look close

    • @Firm2of2
      @Firm2of2 54 นาทีที่ผ่านมา +3

      And it’s hard to make shorter distances look like your not trying too. An 80% 50m dash no matter your pb would still require you to fully sprint 40m at 100% before you can ease off. Since Lyle’s was already easing off at around 25-35 you could literally assume his effort was 50-75%

    • @Firm2of2
      @Firm2of2 51 นาทีที่ผ่านมา

      And for speed to make up for that to make Lyle’s go a full 100% would take easily more than a year of training cuz slashing off .3 second difference in a 50 is SO MUCH harder than a full hundred. Which for a full hundred you would theoretically need to improve every 10m segment by .03 and a 50 by .06 which doing that starting out the blocks and having a little less time to accelerate adds more to the difficulty

    My analysis: Lyles had a much worse reaction time than speed. Even in the olympics 100m and 200m he had the worst reaction times of the pack. That's why speed was ahead for the first couple of steps. When lyles caught up with him, he looked over and visibly started jogging and was still slightly pulling away before pulling off the goofy form. I found it very entertaining, and it was just for entertainment and not to be taken seriously. and lyles obviously wasn't going to take the race seriously. I can only imagine if speed took track serious and actually got a good trainer to work on his speed how fast he could actually be. Because from this video alone without blocks and kinda being next to him is very impressive I don’t care what no one says. What I found really interesting is Noah said he and Speed should have a rematch for July next year. Specifically, at the US Nationals. Which some what confirms Noah Lyles is planning on going to compete at the US Nationals despite his World Championships Byes in the 100m and 200m from 2023. 🤔 This is going to be very interesting as he nothing to lose there, only practicing for the Tokyo World Championships in September.
    I wonder how his season is going to be shaped up to be.

    I think tyreek needs to beat speed in a race first, and then he can race noah in a 60m min distance. Should be 100m

    Prudent business decision. If Noah went 100%, the market for another showdown would immediately dry up.

    That man was trolling dont get me wrong speed is fast for someone who doesn't train any at all but that race wasn't close to how ppl are making it seem😂😂

    He isn't a world-class sprinter, but you could tell he is pretty fast. Even if Noah was joking, he did have to push a little harder than he expected to. I'd like to see him train a couple of months and do a real 60 in blocks to see if he can clock a sub 7 time.

    I've recently gotten back into athletics running around a 9 to 10 second 100m no starting blocks no spikes. My sprinting records are in my playlist on my channel. I've never ran competitively only trained pro soccer and tennis. Nice video, good run.

    Some people are not giving speed the credit he deserves because he actually came closer than what Noah thought and surprised Noah with no real track training and if he really ran track in high school and trained up till now it would be closer

    Honestly super impressive that Speed ran a 5.9, Lyles could obviously shave his time down to around 5.6, but still super impressive from speed.

    Im sure theres a lot of current and former sprinters on here. We can all tell Noah wasnt really trying, except for about 4 or 5 strides to get to top speed. Then he just coasted to the line.

    people need to understand that just because someone is a content creator doesnt mean they arent capable of anything else. speed does have an interesting reputation, but there have been so many instances where he's shown that he is actually really fit. that race was really not that surprising, especially considering that noah ran like a damn clown for like 5 steps at the end
