Hyland Woods, formerly known as #Hyland Forest Park, is a 30-acre natural area park located in Beaverton, Oregon. Situated east of Murray Boulevard and north of Sexton Mountain Road, it features a mature #Douglas-fir forest and a small pond. The park includes approximately two miles of soft-surface trails, ideal for walking and exploring nature.
A notable feature of Hyland #Woods is its innovative nature play area, which spans 1.5 acres and encourages unstructured play among children and adults. Visitors can engage with the environment by building forts with natural materials and exploring off-trail areas. The park has undergone significant habitat restoration, including the removal of invasive plants and planting of over 12,000 native trees and shrubs since improvements began in 2010.
