- Day 2 of the rides for Mel’s birthday. We try to tackle the Leif Erikson Trail. It was really wet… and we had a good time, but the weather was against us.

Great to see you out riding! If you get up to northern Michigan with the Azub I'd like to see it in person. The North Central trail has a lot of great day rides. Good luck on the van.
Would be intereseting to see a camparison of your new vs old trike, and what you like/dislike about each relative.
Houses here in Oregon are much more costly than where you are living Matt, that's for sure. It's interesting the Mel has no front fenders, especially on this wet and muddy trail. I cannot imagine riding a recumbent trike fenderless. Even with fenders, you're going to get wet, but at least fenders keep the yucky muck off. I'm sure that trail might be a tad more fun when dry, haha.

I THOUGHT THE SAME THING! Watching water cartwheel off the front tires and onto... well... everything and everyone around them... made me so happy i had mine.
@@JaYoeNation From what I can see, the AZUB fenders are not as much coverage as the HP Velotechnik fenders, which wrap around farther downward on the inside next to the rider's legs. I have been very impressed with the HP fenders, which are much better than the ICE fenders I've had, or the aftermarket Planet Bike fenders I had on my Catrike.

I don’t think I’ve ever been through forest park where it wasn’t at least sprinkling even the middle of July. If you don’t like the weather in Portland just wait an hour. I don’t ever leave my bike unattended in Portland and I still carry a kryptonite New Yorker chain and lock

the drone has a follow feature.. i just never used it... i am wondering how it would compare.
So, Portland and Minneapolis tend to rank as the best places to ride...and just as I hit submit, I heard Paul Bunyan of the north west. another Minnesota link :)
nice gravel from the snow and ice that the city has decided is not a priority to sweep up

Mel rigs up all his trikes for video.. he has all sorts of booms and clamps he uses for each view.

Make a rain canopy or get a velomobile
How much sag do you have in your rear suspension. I have about 50%. To test this move the rubber ring around the rear suspension then gently sit down and see where the rubberband sets
