Now flee from youthful lusts and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart. But refuse foolish and ignorant speculations, knowing that they produce quarrels. The Lord's bond-servant must not be quarrelsome, but be kind to all, able to teach, patient when wronged, with gentleness correcting those who are in opposition, if perhaps God may grant them repentance leading to the knowledge of the truth, and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, having been held captive by him to do his will. 2 Timothy 2:22-26
Thank God for the precious blood of Jesus Christ that washes all our sins away put good things in your life and this will help you keep the victory over sexual sins
You can flee from sin but , if you' er real youll find that sin is in you, so how do i deal with the urges that's in me. How do i deal with the urges ?
Jermaine Jones All I can say and tell you, keep at it, calling God and making yourself in conversation with Him all the time...that you would seem Crazy, I can't count how many times I have fallen and found myself in the mud, pits of sin, but the God who Sanctifies me never let me down nor forsaken me, in terms of women I tend to stay away, no make that run away not being or engaging them in silly aimless talk, which eventually leads to Sin...Urges that seem to make you doubt yourself of Christ is a confusion of the devil, either way read James and Phillipians should help understand my point, can explain with texting.
Ule Ule Waweru ,thank you for replying. A lot of preachers they 'll talk to you about sin and your going to hell , but rarely teach How to over come the urges of sin. And you can't run away from what's in you , you have to just deal with it.
Jermaine Jones your welcome, remeber, We are all born of sin and sin is in Us, from Sin Christ bought Us with His blood, for me I hated myself and pushed/drifted far from God by thinking I was sick and something was wrong with and I wasn't baptized or saved enough but as I held on to Christ, I found myself being conformed, changing to the will and way of Christ both in Spirit and Mind resistant to impurity and worldly blemish as the Spirit showed me my flaws, to this day for no one is or can ever be perfect though I would arge you Be baptized in many water/ river, somewhere water flows in and out... Spiritual=Physical...Where you will be reborn, in ways you never thought. Being filled and being drunk by the Spirit, knowing or seeing a glimpse of God make you whine, cry making you always wanting to seek Him...
Jermaine, one aspect to consider is what Jesse said near the end of the clip, "And if your heart is not satisfied in treasuring and savoring Jesus Christ, it will look somewhere else to worship." If one is not daily being satisfied in the Lord they will find these urges for other things coming upon them, that is they will be "looking somewhere else to worship." But if someone is looking to Christ, day by day, finding their joy in Him - they will be "delivered by desire". So the point is: daily drink from the living cistern of Christ and you will be satisfied and not want to drink from the sewer of sin -- as in the urges are dealt with by drinking your full of Christ. A lot more could be said but a big issue is knowing who you are in Christ. Romans 6 says the believer is a new man and he is obedient from the heart (6:17). It is vital to know who you are in Christ and the supernatural work of regeneration. I think you could find this study on our channel helpful: th-cam.com/video/yLFnhqrUCGs/w-d-xo.html
Ule Ule Waweru , so when god saves us , he forgaved our sins but didn't take the sin away from us ? ( justification). i guess this is where( santification) comes in when , sins power slowly decreases in our life's after while ? Is this right?
Are you referring to Jesse? The one answering the questions? He is one of the pastors of a church in Dallas, you can find out more here: gracelifedallas.org
God doesn't care about sexual "purity". Simply read this Bible verse: "When a message from the LORD came to Hosea, the LORD told him, "Go marry a prostitute and have children with her." Hosea 1:2 Seems like God is pretty ok with screwing around, even commanded it.
Hosea went and MARRIED her... there was no fornication outside of marriage. And yes him going and marrying such a woman is a great picture of Christ, whom Romans 5 says died for His enemies. So what is the point? Even for yourself, Christ is willing to pay your debt and free you from your sin's penalty and power. May you have Him as your own.
My point was not about the prostitute, but about Hosea. Yes, he went and married a woman who had been doing great sin. So it is with Jesus, He came to save a bride who has done horrible sin and prostituted themselves to all manner of idols. As Ezekiel 16 says, "How sick is your heart, declares the Lord GOD, because you did all these things, the deeds of a brazen prostitute..." yet praise God that the Lord shows mercy to His enemies who are consumed in their sin.
I'll Be Honest Your response is just a bunch of nonsense that you made up. God (allegedly) commanded him to do this for a very peculiar reason. Read the rest of that chapter, before you go copy pasting your standard cliche responses. Have you even read the entire Bible, or do you just cherry pick the stuff that sounds good and ignore the crazy?
I'll Be Honest Here is the rest of the verse for you since you are probably too lazy to pick up your own "holy" book: ".. for like an adulterous wife this land is guilty of unfaithfulness to the Lord.” We see here clearly that God led Hosea into an adulterous relationship because he was angry with Israel. This prostitute of a wife committed adultery while married to Hosea and that was God's plan all along. So how do you propose to apologize for your "holy" god now?
I like what he says about pursuing righteousness in order to escape lust. He is right .
Wise counsel. I enjoy everything I can hear from this brother.

4:45 you just said earlier in the vid its not how hard they repent, and now there has to be some ''Godwordly sorrow'''
