I love that they put Ice cube in this of all people. And this is what I call a classic. Terrible movie yet so good. Everyone knows anaconda and no matter how bad it is you are still going to watch and remember it.

Well of course silly; even the snake being the villain of the movie knows if he wants more movie parts to do in the future, he must let the main characters finish their lines. If he gets the reputation for being a primadonna the screen actors guild and animal's union will black list him.
Actually, remember in the title crawl it said that the Snakes enjoy the victim's terror. It was probably letting them finish talking because it was enjoying the terror it was causing them. Fridge Brilliance at it's finest. Also, I love Jennifer Lopez's and Ice Cube's performance, because to me, their terror is very convincing.

The realistic thing about this scene is snakes actually vomiting their prey when they feel threatened or stressed.
But the anaconda wasn’t threatened or stressed in that moment, it was just emptying out its stomach because it wanted to eat the woman.

See I thought the anacondas in the second anaconda movie were more realistic than this one. The head was too round, snakes don’t make noises like that. And snakes don’t bust through things like that. I haven’t seen this full movie so I can’t really say, but the Anaconda in this movie looks about as real as the robot in Jaws. Dissapointing. Because I LOVE the second Anacondas movie.

Because back then it was the peak of animatronic technology and the start of CGI so people were excited about its abilities and wanted to see how good they can make cgi look
Now CGI is terrible because they thing as long as it connects to the movie its fine so they don't put too much thought into it
And also because there are movies where even the background is CGI and they use it for literally anything so it looks bad
@@tamirsudri1 also because tv's are advancing so much as well. back then it worked better because tv's were so low res that the poor CGI didn't stand out as much. but with modern hi res, you need the best of the best computer technology to make CGI work

Frank Welker is very convincing as a 25-40 foot Snake. In the end, I'm happy with the way this movie came out. Frank Welker did very good in making the Snake sound scary, and the squealing/roaring is probably the most terrifying part of the Snakes.

It's scary as hell snakes kill their prey, then regurgitate it with their own juice of organic decomposition. The scenes are extraordinarily well done. I grew up with this movie. Fabulous! And today I still look at it...I, sincerely, thank the distinguished actress Jennifer Lopez and the directors and all the actors in it!

Fun morbid fact, while there are no CONFIRMED cases of an anaconda ever eating an adult human being (though certainly possible), there are for Reticulated Pythons (the longest snakes in the world, anacondas are the heaviest). In 2017, Akbar Salubiro was attacked and consumed whole by one. His corpses was recovered from the snake's stomach a few days later when the snake was found unable to move. In 2018 Wa Tiba was also killed and consumed by a Reticulated Python. Both cases were filmed and documented.

The two large snakes seen in the film were actually an anamatronic, 40 foot, 5000 pound Queen and a 25 foot, 1,500 pound Warrior. (The snake in this scene being the female)
