Like I usually have to really practice for a while to get the highest notes in a Marianas Trench song but this song has notes that are too high for me AND notes that are too low for me! It's the classic MT we all love (synths, orchestra, screaming, harmonies, repeating chord progressions) but there's also something ELSE. Something NEW. and I'm crying bc I remember the first time I heard this band in middle school I KNEW there was something great about them. That a cappella harmony followed by heavy guitar always takes me back to Queen (Prophet Song, specifically) and I'm SO glad to hear it again here~. Ya'll are one of the few bands I've found that manage to channel what made Queen feel so magical to me when I was a kid (not just their sound, but the ambition and passion and narrative) and every time you drop another banger like this it takes me right back scream-singing in the kitchen with my mom.

I will never stop being in awe of how intelligent your music is. The lyrics are so well put together and evoke so much feeling from us listeners. The musical arrangements add so much to the storytelling of the albums. Not to mention all of the ways you call back to musical motifs from past albums, but adapt them to the current album's style.
