- Review - Buying a Dixxon flannel was a HUGE mistake! Today I reviewed my 1st ever-Dixxon flannel, the Bowie Flannel. Dixxon Flannels are crazy popular, with new releases selling out within hours, so are they all hype, or are they worth the price? In this Dixxon flannel sizing review, I go over the Dixxon flannel sizing, the fit, quality, and features. I also cover how the fit and quality of Dixxon Flannel compares to other brands like Carhartt, Duluth Trading Company, Harley Davidson clothing, Viking Cycle, Deadbeat Customs, and others. I love the style and designs the Dixxon Flannel company is putting out and collaborating with other artists and companies. About Dixxon
The Why?
Established in 2013, Dixxon began with the goal of creating the world’s best flannel. Growing up around motorcycles, skateboards, and hardcore/punk music, flannels have always been a staple in our closets. But, like everyone else, we were tired of them not fitting well and then wrinkling, shrinking, and fading after the first wash. I have about 16 of them. As far as a woman’s fit, I find that there is too great of a size difference between the medium and large. The medium is just a little too small. Fits everywhere except under my arms, is very tight. But when I go to a large, I look like I should be working at Home Depot or a lumberjack.
I will let me wife know she was wondering about the fit. Man everyone seems to have a collection.

I started collecting Dixxon about three months ago as well and now have 14 flannels, 3 bamboo short sleeves and one party shirt! The addiction is real!

I worked for a Harley dealership and our owner bought everyone there a dixxon of their choice. Wasn’t long before people started asking for them because we all rode and just impressed with fit and finish.

these shirts are made with their 'Signature D-Tech™ polyester blend '...so my question is this: in my experience (lived in the Upper Midwest all my life and have wore flannel and chamois shirts forever) 'flannel' shirts are usually made in a (mostly) cotton fabric and not a synthetic/blend type of fabric which typically is a less breathable type of fabric IMHO. so is their 'Signature blend' fabric comfortable to wear all day long OR do the shirts get too warm and make one tend to perspire more throughout the day in an attempt to cool down the body?
I wear them all day with zero issue. They do a great job of blocking the wind.
theyre pretty thin so you definitely won't have a problem overheating but they won't keep you warm either

I got my first dixxon last July, I'm now up to 24. I'm at a point now where I will be very selective and probably start selling some of the ones I don't wear as often
24 wow that’s wild. I think being selective is key as it’s easy to get sucked into wanting them all. That said I want more.
“Selective” haha, I said that a couple years ago now I’m over 100. The only reason I stopped is because I moved to Florida and can’t justify it anymore. The addiction is real. Good luck.
I own 73 with one on the way. I never wear the same flannel twice in a row. I wear a different one everyday. It's a good way to rotate your flannels and make sure you wear all your flannels and it also helps prevent wear and tear. So unless you sold some off already, I recommend just switching it up everyday
Well just did the same as you. Got a Meshuggah special. Am not a biker, never wear flannels. NEver heard of dixxon. Just know that having basically very special band merch from my absolute top 1 favorite band is something i really want. Probably wont order more unless it is a band from my top 3 list. So dixxon Will probably fade out of my memory at some point. But i really do get how you feel in almost feeling like you HAVE to get it.

For being thin they block the wind real good while riding and the collar staydown buttons are awesome so the color dont slap you in the face while riding lol
Never been a fan of being slapped on the face on the bike or off :-)
I have one of there flannels from when dixxon started it and the material difference is crazy with what they make now either way is amazing
They are so comfortable

Good review, thanks. I have two Dixxon flannels, love them. The Harley dealerships here in Australia sell them, and I’m thinking they sell a lot of them.

Order shirts from them over five weeks ago. Checked tracking number and it says delivered several days ago. Never arrived. I contacted them and they want me to pay them to ask a question. They were shipped from China. A company called pleurkin.

Howdy bud! Been buy/sell/trading Dixxons for about 2-3 years with a 22 strong all flannel collection and my trick to not spending my life savings on em is:
1 - Pick some that you know you want to hang onto for a while, sell and trade the rest! So much fun and you meet cool folks.
2 - Set money aside (I literally keep it on a venmo card) and watch for their deals. They come up fairly often.
3 - eBay is your best friend, you can scoop up gently used ones for $40 and sell yours too.
4 - If you see a collaboration, buy two of the same shirt and keep one in the packaging; those always seem to be the most desirable ones on the resale market.
These are all my personal opinions and observations that help guide me through this addiction to quality work/ride wear

I 6.2 and have a dadbod and its fits beautifully. Roomy for sure. Sad they're pure polyester and needs to be cold washed
only issue is their quality is not up to par for the price they charge whatsoever and the fabric is thinner than most of my t shirts. i like the patterns they have though and the fact that they support bikers but thats about it.
I have had nonissie with ths thickness but ths sizing can vary from shirt to shirt

I bought a VTV Dixxon XL shirt, (Bamboo) and usually wear a XL, bought the TKO is 2x and fit way better. Great shirts. Try one of the bamboo ones, they are thinner, real nice for warm/hot weather.

I’ve got sboit 8 and I’m good with that . Some are fuzzier then others , I prefer teh snap buttons , but I do like em . They feel quality and not to heavy .
Although the colors are rehashed I skip lot of em but yje Black Sabbath and slayer were must buys lol

I have more Dixxons than I want to admit 😳 The womens fit is perfect and doesn’t give me that boxy flannel look, they are so well made I love the sunglasses chamois on the bottom inside corner. I just picked up the Slayer flannel. Dang, I missed the David Bowie drop! It looks sweet. Enjoy!

We have so many thay Jeff and I have to coordinate who is wearing what flannel because one time we showed up separately to a restaurant wearing the same pattern. Lol it was a riot. I got my first one last year. Its hard to resist the nice drops they have here and there. I'm up to about 15 shirts. But I always buy a size down because the first one I got was too big for a large

how is the sizing? 5'10 172 lbs depending on brand i fluctuate between medium and large (kuhl volcom i usually size up to large). Marmot columbia etc im usually swimming in a large. It's sounding more like i should be considering medium or even small with dixxon?

I bought the actual jacket one at $119 for work, love that thing. Fits great, felt “broke in” from day one. You had been fighting buying one for months, almost bought the Slayer one, but held off. Now I’m sure I’ll end up with more, 🙄😂

@@BryTheBiker Yeah, the Rogue jacket is what I got. I’m out in single digit temps with just that and a hoodie and I’m good. Definitely recommend if you need heavier than a regular flannel.

I literally just came across Dixxon today and am looking to start purchasing some flannels. The problem i am having is the sizing...im 6"3 and weigh around 230-240 pounds...i usually wear an XL but as im tall, i dont know wether or not to order an Tall XL or a regular XL...any help you could give me would be great.
I’m 6’1 and have a 32” inseam so I’m more upper body and a non tall fits fine. Might be worth calling them to make sure.

When they went to the 'new cut' on the flannels the sizes were much better, the 2019ish and before they were a bit more snug and less quality. Welcome to the dark side

These Bowie flannels was sold out in a matter of minutes.
I had to set my alarm so i could order the very minute it went live since i live in Norway and they started selling them at 2 in the morning, my time.
I went back online an hour later to buy another but they were gonzo!🤷🏻♂️
They still have the Bowie-flannel in Dixxon's Australian webshop + a lot of models that aren't in stock in the US or UK any longer.
Sucks for me that they don't ship to Norway but they do ship to both USA and Canada.

Having had a lot of flannels in my life let me give you a downside that I hope you do not experience. After my flannels have been washed about 10 times the sleeves are about halfway up my arm they shrink a lot. Hopefully your experience is way different.
I am told they don’t shrink I will let you know.

I think you are somewhere between M and L, deppending on how you wear you usual shirts.
Go for a L if you like them baggy and M if you like them Regular. Mr. Bry here wears them regular, I can say that.
Damn, now I am concerned. Just purchased 1st one tonight before watching. Their website said they run big and I am in between the XL and XXL. Went with XL. Hopefully it is not too small.

Their biggest issue is the lack of quality control coming out of China, their flannels all fit different
