best thing about the Swordfish is that it's so outdated that one of the main reasons it was such a surprisingly good torpedo bomber is that every AA gun it faced was ranged to be fighting faster torpedo bombers, and so would frequently over-lead their shots. Not to mention the fact that many Swordfish pilots and repair crews report flak shots simply not detonating on impact due to the canvas body and instead just piercing straight though. The Swordfish was basically like using a great sword against Kevlar armor; it's only working because no one was expecting to fight something so outdated.
Funniest thing that I saw flying the old stringbag was my son getting his first torpedo kill with one. It wasn't a ship but a hienkel 112 that was chasing him. My son for some reason put the swordfish into as vertical a climb as he could to get away and obviously the He112 followed him, closing all the time. In a moment of desperation he released his torpedo, which dropped like a stone and went through the He112's prop, engine block taking out the pilot and continued dropping to earth. Unfortunately we didn't know how to record a replay of this kill. The other pilot was livid in the chat afterwards.

20 minutes of Squire heavily roasting a Tank Destroyer, 2 planes, a Japanese light tank (#ICanHearTheWeebsCry), a torpedo bomber and a jet fighter made out of wood.
To add a bit of explanation, it does need the floats, as well as an engine cover. However those aren't needed for it to float in the first place, but to be seaworthy. While swimming through calm water it is fairly stable anyways and water stays off the "deck", conditioms at sea are a bit different. The floats are used to stabilize the vehicle when conquering the waves of the pacific, while the engine cover makes sure the engine doesn't drown. Additionally the Japanese realized that a tanker is just as vulnerable to drowning as an engine is and added a little cover for the commander, in case he wanted to look out of his hatch. I'm aware this is about 4 years late, but that is not a problem when defending the reputation of this glorious japanese battleship, the pride of the imperial navy, the conquerer of the seven seas, the Ka-Mi.
A new Squire video? Magnificent! Yes! I actually had a verry good time with the Type 2. The hull is so big that incoming shots often disperse without doing critical damage. Atleast aslong as you don´t get a center hit. And the Churchill GC is atleast still better than the Archer. (4km/h in fire direchtion WTF Brittan, was no other gearbox available? or atleast a Handcrank?)
Well the entire purpose was to use that specific chassis (the Valentine chassis) and mount that specific gun to it and the only way they could fit the gun on effectively was to mount it facing the rear of the chassis, i also don't have the Archer so i will not comment on in game performance.
Archer...the only British tank that can actually reverse (ie drive it backwards for shoot-n-scoot). Once I worked out that you just reverse into a firing position it became a lot easier to survive in as you can withdraw from the position much faster than in any other British tank. Tough call either way, Churchill GC vs Archer...the Achilles is sweet redemption though.
I can't confirm good times with the Ka-Mi (well, I only played two matches before it got scrapped for forging Katanas). I had nearly the same problems like in the video, but there's another one too: If you're driving forward and you left or right track is in a different height than the other (e.g. driving on a hillside, but neither on the hill nor from the hill), the Type 2 will slowly turn in the direction of the higher track! So, driving it is more Ka-Mi -kaze for me!
My least favorite Tanks that I have ever driven in War Thunder are those damned Japanese reserve tanks. Less armor than a box of tissues, and if I had to describe the armament I would use the slang term that I once heard a Tiger crewman use to describe an M4 Sherman landing direct hits on the front armor: a "Door-Knocking Device."
Idk, the "amphibious" Japanese tank is so much worse, and isn't even a reserve tank, so you need to keep repairing it. I'd rather be in any reserve tank than that death trap.
my friend slapped literally hundreds of bushes on the churchill gc and called it the 'bush bunker' because ... well you can imagine why. it was actually suprisingly effective in rb

Bigfish821 During the war, the Nazis made more plane prototypes with a jet above it and some had a 1% survivability for the pilot to throw them self out of the plane (they were before ejecting seats).
The Type-2 Ka-Mi was a light tank that required pontoons in order to go in the water but without those it is literally a fish outta water in every sense.
Wian Snyders If you're a German pilot flying anything within the 2.0 - 2.7 BR range, you might be accustomed to the Brewster F2A Buffalo. It is more aggressive than an Englishman that ran out of tea.
6:32 For everyone who is Intrigued what those two white signs mean I'm gonna translate it for you: left one: the indicated airspeed is 10% less than the true airspeed. Don't pull a recovery maneuver over 4g. Don't pull negative G maneuvers for more than 3 seconds because if you do so the engine will cut out. right one: Takeoff flaps max. speed: 500km/ h; Landing flaps max. speed 300km/h; landing gear max Speed: 300km/h 6:38 his translation is obviously wrong xD
Absolutely hate..... Anything American.... Or Japanese.... Or German...... Or Russian as well! And DEFINITELY French! And don't even get me STARTED on the Italians! And the Australians... Yep... That about sums it up!
Why hello there my fine English friend! How fares the channel? Personally, I'm having about as much luck as a Fairey Swordfish pilot, who's engaged in a dogfight with a Bosch jet fighter! But I won't quit! Noooo! You'll never see me back down from a German! I am British after all! Now what was I talking about...? Ahem! Channels! Yes. I knew that all along of course! My own sampling of War Thunder related video content has gone dishearteningly unnoticed as of late, so from one War Thunder Brit to another, if there is any help you may be able to give (not help... I don't need help! Pish!) I'd much appreciate it. Cheerio!
But wasn't the Firebrand the best plane ever a few videos earlier? Did someone kill Squire and took over his channel using a voice changer? Is this why he took so long to make another video? We need to investigate this further.
I absolutely hate the P-38; granted, i dogfight in it instead of booming and zooming, and when i do boom my wings boom right off, but that's my story and i'm sticking to it.
Yes this colonial kite(P-38) is like flying a kite in a hurrican. It turns like a Iowa-class Battleship and its powered by two unreliable engines, there overheating so much that you can make Barbecue Party on it. And its a big target for Görings entire Luftwaffel company. But the armament its great, like in every american vehicle, these cowboys give them the firepower of the entire wild west to have some positiv aspects. This plane the P-38, is an attempt to make something hollywood stil looking for movies but this fails completely. Its looking very great, but it flys not very great.
I too hate the P-38, but it can be used very effectively due to its good maneuverability and its great firepower as well as the fact that the cannon has a lot of ammo and the secondary isn't garbage. Though it doesn't change the fact that its essentially a giant flying lighter.
Yeah that's the point of the fucking guns, they light fuel tanks and engines, destroy control surface controls, kill crew, and destroy the engine. Why do you think the B-25, B-17, and B-29 are able to get kills?
Me and my friend have killed many fighters by lighting them with 50s I mean the controls for the surfaces so they are unusable entirely Pilot snipes None of the bomber i listed have any cannons, ONLY 50s
yes even 7mm guns can shoot out controls you CAN aim even if it can be hard none of them in game has cannons and no you can pilot snipe them and light them on fire, my friends AI gunners lit 2 fighters on fire both within 1 second and they both burned up i personally am better with 50s
6:15 translation for left side: Pitot tube shows approx. 10% too little interception not more than 4 g. Negative acceleration not longer than 3 seconds. otherwise the engine will go out
The English accent shouts that foreigners are lacking the necessary traits of England, Hood, Nelson, Wellington, Churchill and the British cockpit of strangely placed instruments and levers.
One actual tactical disadvantage (or another one) for the Japanese light tank is that the treads are thin, meaning less distribute of weight, meaning, well you can all guess what that means.
How the hell did the Archer not make this list!? Granted, driving the Churchill GC was an absolutely terrible experience, but driving the Archer will probably scar me for life and traumatise me to a point where I will have to abandon gaming altogether and sell my computer (which might actually prove beneficial to me, but I tend to ignore this thought).
It's a Valentine chassis with a backwards facing 17pdr gun, so I actually drive forward to reach the front or change position and then reverse to set up firing position or to advance (in an agonisingly slow fashion) when I expect enemy contact. Make a false judgement about the enemy positions and you end up wasting a hell lot of time in the best case or dead in the worst case. And even if you are prepared upon contact and manage to hit the enemy tank first, your good old solid shot will very likely not disable it completely, so it will either move behind cover or turn its turret and kill you with one shot. What else? Forward speed: not convincing. Turning speed (would be important): like watching grass grow. Gun slewing rate: too slow. Gun slewing angle: too narrow. Armour: only your engine, if you're facing backwards to the front.
Turiargov maybe you're not using it correctly? it is generally best as an ambushing tank. I've played it a bit and I use it long ranges I mean I usually get 1/2 kills but I'm pretty crap at WT. Also aim for ammo racks and use less solid shot
I was using the Mk.4 armor-piercing capped shell. Not sure if this counts as solid shot, but it definitly doesn't explode after penetration. You don't get any better option in the Archer. High explosive shells are useless against even lightly armoured tanks. I agree on everything you said, but you can't always aim for the ammo rack (especially at long distances or with partially hidden targets) and you can't always stay far away from every threat. Surely you can achieve something with lots of skill, but that skill would still be of greater use in a more versatile vehicle like the Cromwell. ;-)
My German's not good, but I think the panel in the He162 said you can't pull over four G's in the aircraft, and if you do for not more than three seconds. And the KA-MI had such crappy armor any heavy MG could threaten it. And, uh, Squire? It needs pontoons to float. A for effort, though. The Yak-15: no airbrakes, not fast enough to disengage, and ONE 23mm cannon with 60 shells? The Firebrand: oh God. When the British tried to build a fighter that did EVERYTHING. No thanks. I'll stick with my Focke-Wulfs.
When it comes to landing and takeoff with the Blackburn firebrand, you’ve gotta put your cards on the table before touchdown and lift off Four Aces equals A decisively successful landing or takeoff Anything else, 5-65% chance of success for landing and 10-95% chance of success for takeoff
the japanese light tank actually seems pretty cool (irl at least). I looked it up and it is ampybious but the in game version has the floatation devices removed. kinda seems like they missed out on a potentially unique game play feature.

Yeeees
Zafran Orbian The archer is a backwards... something so younactually hve to reverse it. Good one tank designers of wwii
I can't confirm good times with the Ka-Mi (well, I only played two matches before it got scrapped for forging Katanas). I had nearly the same problems like in the video, but there's another one too:
If you're driving forward and you left or right track is in a different height than the other (e.g. driving on a hillside, but neither on the hill nor from the hill), the Type 2 will slowly turn in the direction of the higher track!
Phoenix8492 same time with the tertrarch
Idk, the "amphibious" Japanese tank is so much worse, and isn't even a reserve tank, so you need to keep repairing it.
I'd rather be in any reserve tank than that death trap.
Phoenix8492 A word on Japanese tanks. Em, no.
Phoenix8492 I’m from the future and you should see the French reserve tanks
One of them is literally based off the Renault FT. That’s how outdated they are.

Hooray, Squire uploaded a video! Now we can wait another month for the next one!
But I'm sure there's an understandable reason for it.
I'm a massive, lazy, bastard.
Oh, and I've got a few real life things getting in the way!
Squire indeed you are
I just hope there will one day be Mrs. Squire ,then one day little teabags!!!
It's like Sherlock episodes
say, if you ejected off the he 162, would you get sucked in the engine?
It had one of the first working ejection seats, exactly because of that issue.
Bigfish821
During the war, the Nazis made more plane prototypes with a jet above it and some had a 1% survivability for the pilot to throw them self out of the plane (they were before ejecting seats).
The engine and wings would probably fall off as soon as you released the canopy, be realistic
Most probably
That's why you want the modern day ejection seats in one
The Type-2 Ka-Mi was a light tank that required pontoons in order to go in the water but without those it is literally a fish outta water in every sense.

6:32 For everyone who is Intrigued what those two white signs mean I'm gonna translate it for you:
left one:
the indicated airspeed is 10% less than the true airspeed. Don't pull a recovery maneuver over 4g. Don't pull negative G maneuvers for more than 3 seconds because if you do so the engine will cut out.
right one: Takeoff flaps max. speed: 500km/ h; Landing flaps max. speed 300km/h; landing gear max Speed: 300km/h
6:38 his translation is obviously wrong xD
The Purple Guy it’s for the sake of comedy, mein Freund...
His translation was "correct," in the sense that the limitations for G manoeuvrers are hilariously small.
Absolutely hate..... Anything American.... Or Japanese.... Or
German...... Or Russian as well! And DEFINITELY French! And don't even
get me STARTED on the Italians!
Cheerio!
How do you can hate French, Italians and Ausitralians because they are not even in the game...
French: D.520 and 521, as well as the French A-20 model. Italians: Mc.200 and Mc.202, G.50, SM.79 and CR.42... Australians: Boomerang and Wirraway
Ww2Sn1p3r some of their vehicles are in the game... have you even played the game?
menx gaming are you dumb ?? I just say that there is only 3 véhicule in the game and one is not even french...
I have an idea for the next one :) top favorite/least favorite maps! I'd like to see that!
"Let's see this armor plate can stand up to nature's most basic form of weaponry: why yes, it's a russian with a machine gun."
Aaaaaaaaaannnndddd you forgot the independent...
But wasn't the Firebrand the best plane ever a few videos earlier?
Did someone kill Squire and took over his channel using a voice changer? Is this why he took so long to make another video?
We need to investigate this further.
Good luck with your investigation, inspector.
Squire The Russian T-28 is pure rubbish.

Teddly You serious?!
Well,
in arcade it sucks
In realistic its better
At 6:19, that bit there does actually say, that you shouldn't do negative G maneuvers because the engine will die otherwise
Me and my friend have killed many fighters by lighting them with 50s
I mean the controls for the surfaces so they are unusable entirely
Pilot snipes
None of the bomber i listed have any cannons, ONLY 50s
yes even 7mm guns can shoot out controls
you CAN aim even if it can be hard
none of them in game has cannons and no you can pilot snipe them and light them on fire, my friends AI gunners lit 2 fighters on fire both within 1 second and they both burned up
i personally am better with 50s
On the Japanese light tank, I have a recording of that performance of kalinika
6:15 translation for left side: Pitot tube shows approx. 10% too little interception not more than 4 g. Negative acceleration not longer than 3 seconds. otherwise the engine will go out
Thank you I was looking for this
Well I'll be hanged! Today I got admitted to a school I've wanted for 3 years and now a new Squire video! This is the happiest day of my life :)
Congratulations!

Squire, sup yo
5:52 “Put simply, it don’t have none.” *Squire, 2018*
The English accent shouts that foreigners are lacking the necessary traits of England, Hood, Nelson, Wellington, Churchill and the British cockpit of strangely placed instruments and levers.
One actual tactical disadvantage (or another one) for the Japanese light tank is that the treads are thin, meaning less distribute of weight, meaning, well you can all guess what that means.
HOW DARE YOU, THAT YAK IS BEAUTIFUL!
Not British, not beautiful.
Squire Wait, that means you're calling the P-39 _ugly?_
How could you!?
you mean "blyatful"
Sky Eye well is the Sherman 2 beautiful
dude it looks like a flying dildo xd
“THEN COMES THE ACCELERATION, TO PUT IT SIMPLY.......…………………..… it don’t ‘ave none”
Turiargov are you driving it with the gun facing forward or backwards because you reverse to drive quite vastly
Surely you can achieve something with lots of skill, but that skill would still be of greater use in a more versatile vehicle like the Cromwell. ;-)
Turiargov I'm presuming you haven't got the Achilles so I suppose the only thing you could do is soldier through the grind
“And now for something COMPLETELY different.”
Squire is the guy,
If he sees a bird he'll make a 10 documentary on that bird and what it is doing...

but I still think it was really op,since I kill a lot tank and plane in one round.

Opposite problem for me. Hurricane just doesn’t “fly right” for me, but it’s a lovely gun platform and rocket launcher on the IIB

Your channel is the cure for depression! Your hilarious!

+Squire You're American Aren't you?
the japanese light tank actually seems pretty cool (irl at least). I looked it up and it is ampybious but the in game version has the floatation devices removed. kinda seems like they missed out on a potentially unique game play feature.
