Thanks for the review. I've watched as many Crosstreck Wilderness reviews as I could find. What really stands out to me is that every reviewer who actually drove it off road and challenged the car had huge smiles on their faces and seem to be pleasantly surprised.
Damn, that’s a really good price. I can’t believe I’m saying that in 2023. Although I’m sure 3 years ago I woulda expected this to be more like $27k or something. But you can’t get Jack for $35k these days
I'm planning to get a Crosstrek Wilderness in 2 weeks, and yeah, the copper accents are a bit gaudy and off-putting for me but I'm gonna be blacking out the tow hook covers right away. I'm not necessarily getting it for it's looks though, otherwise I'd just opt for a Limited trim.
@@shavionbates9211 I hear that. While they told me October, I'm not holding my breath. But I gotta admit, I keep watching my phone for a text or call saying it's here.
@@shavionbates9211 I'm also trying to figure out the possible Easter egg printed on the cup holder liners. Screen shot a view of them and I can see something, but not able to make it out.
I LOVE these little buggers too--- BUT , they FEEL cheap to me--- sound cheap and LOOK cheap actually-- I know they are NOT.. because I sold subarus for a while several years back-- and I know they have THE BEST AWD system available BAR NONE... but I don't like CVT (Certainly Verified TRASH).. and the "cheap sound" and I hate the big ass screen..
@@BwubberBros i took it to the dealership and they found out the TCM needed an update and a new battery. once fixed, it was okayish for like a week and now its back to shit again. I called to to let them know and they basically told me that because car is still considered "within specs" and doesn't need to be looked at. I've been having CVT issues since the day i bought it.
I stopped listening after I heard CVT. unimpressive. And before anyone asks: "HAVE U EVER DRIVEN A CVT CAR BEFORE??" YES I DID... DIDN'T LIKE IT @ ALL!
Subaru modified the Crosstrek Wilderness CVT with additional sensors and gear ratio changes to make it more offroad capible. But let's face it - most enthusiasts will only be happy with a manual.
Lost any credibility in your review when you referred to the other Subarus with the wilderness package and you said the outback and the frontier….. I stopped watching and had to find someone who knew what they were talking about.

Yeah anything under 40 is surprising which is sad but how it is now

Awesome review. Im super excited, the wait is unbearable.
Are you able to removed the door plastic cladding? I hate how it looks but if it’s just held on with tape and looks normal behind it I’ll buy it
If only it had a turbo… I MIGHT be able to look past the CVT. Man, I really do like so much about this car. It’s really unfortunate.
He lost me @ 2.5L w/ a CVT... I'LL PASS
I got the Outback wilderness for this reason. It’s a stout powertrain.

If anyone on Maui ever want to compare one to a Maverick Tremor, just let me know.
Didnt know subaru made the frontier? 🤔😅
I'm assuming he meant Forester... but yeah I raised an eyebrow at that.
the fact that my 2021 base crosstrek already tops out at 22 mpg, i highly doubt this will be any better efficient. Yikes!
Your base should be getting up to 33 mpg lol, might be something going on to check into (:

@nosuchthingasfastlane4399 Boooooooo, that's so sad bro. RIP
I'm getting mine next week but others that already have theirs are saying they're getting 26-28ish
@@Dana.Dane.3 must be nice then lol.
So obviously you’re a ZERO. There is no Subaru ‘FRONTIER’. Keep doing you though…

Good more for the rest of us

You can't compare a Subaru cvt to any other manufacturers cvt. Subarus is chain driven and that chain is GERMAN. Youre welcome.
Frontier?? Subaru doesn't have a model called Frontier!!! Are you confusing it with Nissan???

One slip of the tongue is all it takes - oh well, bye I guess.
