Thank you for this video. I just did my first builder gel set today and it's not terrible but I do wish I saw your video 1st. I will definitely be using your video as a guide for my next set.
Ty, you answered my question lol, I don’t have the builder and was wondering if I could use regular nail glue, or gel polish to cure the full nails tips?! But as long as I can use the base cote and cure I’ll be all set? Awesome I’m gonna try it out
I laughed. Sorry. I’m in same boat. Trying to get them off now. I bought the gel “eat off” that comes in a polish bottle and apply, scrape off and reapply along will drilling lightly. I hate putting my nails in a bowl of acetone! Hopefully your nails are off now as it’s been 7 months. LOL 😆
The bonder is great for that! It's what adheres the builder gel to your nails, is easy to apply and easy to remove! We always recommend checking the manufacturer's guidelines for suggested product use ❤️
@remixtape3677 so there's a specific gel you have to buy called builder gel? I've watched nail techs use 'gel' to glue there nails on but they never mentioned builder gel.
If you're applying gel polish under the full coverage nails as the glue, it may not stay. You can definitely use gel polish on top of full coverage nails though! 💗
Do you need to use a dehydrator? To wipe the stickiness away? Or can I use something else? Like rubbing alcohol? I'm trying this for the 1st time tomorrow. I have everything but that :(
I hate soaking with acetone so here’s my way - I purchased “aliver “ it comes in a nail polish bottle and is in a baby blue bottle with white twist top. On it it reads “mail polish gel remover”. Basically it’s acetone. You polish nails with it and you can see it eating away at the gel. You scrape it off as it’s bubbling up and paint again and again until it’s less and less. I also lightly drill. I just don’t like my fingers sitting in a wet bowl of acetone so I like this better.
@@weinerwagon6667 I would be careful with those removers. They are not acetone-based. The active ingredient is the same as industrial paint thinner, and it's proven to cause cancer. They work really fast but they are much more dangerous than acetone is!
Possibly your not leaving long enough under lamp? I did that. Also, remember they will come out sticky as if not cured but that’s normal. You take an alcohol pad and wipe each nail to remove the sticky portion.

can you please do a video on how to have them removed?
Thank you so much for this!!
Can you use a gel base coat before applying the builder gel to protect natural nails?

You are very welcome! Thanks for watching!
Best tutorial ever!
is there a difference between builder gel versus base gel ? i have base gel & some nails keep popping off
Yes, there is. Builder gel is gonna have a way stronger hold. The base gel is for before gel polish.
@remixtape3677 so there's a specific gel you have to buy called builder gel? I've watched nail techs use 'gel' to glue there nails on but they never mentioned builder gel.
Can I skip the Bonder and just use the base coat?
We'd recommned using the bonder as it aids in adhesion of the gel polish to your nails.
Can you do fills with polygel?

You can just use acetone or alcohol :)
Thank you Soo much that helped a lot 😁
We can't wait to see what set you wear!
Beautiful 😍
What is builder gel? Is it base coat or top coat?
No builder gel is like a glue to make it kinda make the nail stay longer
How do you remove these without damaging the natural nail bed?
Soaking in pure acetone! Don't forget to put on some cuticle oil first so you don't dry out your cuticles! 💗
How would you remove them afterwards? Would you use an electric file and just file the tips off?
Hey girl hey! I lightly buff off the shine and soak them off with acetone.

if i use a nail stand can i still use the gel glue even if my fake nails are painted
Yes, I do. Doesn’t affect it.
I’m not sure about this brand but the Gelish brand at Sally’s will not work like that. Going to try this brand instead.
@@weinerwagon6667 Can you tell me what brand you use?
I cant get it done without air bubbles... I've tried so many times does it matter a lot??
The curve of the nails might not fit to your nail properly!
How long does these nails stay?
Apparently a long time, I read a comment and a girl said she couldn’t get them off 😂
@@JisooTurtleRabbitt 😳 lmfao!!!
They dint stay on for me 😪
Does anyone know why my builder gel won’t cure ? Not sure if it’s too old or if there’s something wrong with my lamp ? The nails won’t stay on

Are you using clear tips? The white ones won’t work since they can’t cure properly 😘
Does the nail have to be clear for the uv to work?
Yes, the nail should be sheer/clear enough for the UV light to pass through 💗
Is using the builder hold better or longer then "normal" nail glue
