This method is faster and easier than the previous method. I have proven that this knot is stronger than the fg knot #scknot #fishingknot #braidedtofluorocarbon
@@ddube1407 4:44 you can see a tiny nub of leader. that piece is facing the guides as you reel in and will catch. the fg knot ties three half hitches (and a rizzutto finish if you want) right at that point to keep the knot together AND to cover that clip. It makes for a smooth reel
you're welcome to tie as many half hitches and rizutos as you want. line comming back through guides has load on it especially when there's a fish on and negligible chance of catching. fact that leader tag faces opposite way when casting means it won't snag when casting. This is a fantastic variation on one of the best knots for braid to leader
Done this severa😢 times it’s not grabbing the mono ? I guess Iam not locking but pulling the tag of the braid, knot looks good just not locked to the mono so it slips ? Practice practice.
I guess it's not suitable for thin mono. I never had a problem with thick mono but when I use a thin one I need to make more spires (20-25) followed by a double knot with the mono grabbing both the braid. This double knot is meant to be a stop to tie the SC against and when properly tied it's not functional to the strength of the knot which lay in the SC itself. I call this variant Little Tony because it resembles a Tony Pena for thin mono
nice vid thx. I like the knot. Looks like you could add a couple more half hitches, then trim leader, then rosuto to avoid leader sticking out a little ?
Thanks for the updated demo. It worked better for me.
would the knot still be able to handle a big fish if i forgot the hitch knots?
after the first part, when i try to tighten it, the braid just slides up and down off the fluoro??
that tab of mono/fluoro is definitely going to catch on the guides... the half itches of the FG knot eliminate that issue
Where do you see the leader sticking, SC knot eliminates peaks

you can make the same finisch to both knots!

Is the SC any thinner than the FG or PR?
sc is thicker than fg .but sc is stronger !!
@@FishingknotsChannel thanks for the reply
Thank so much!!!! I usually use FG knot, but this one seems to be interesting too.

which way do you prefer to tie? i saw both edition from you? and can you also say please which diameter works for both well? @@FishingknotsChannel
Bad for light lines you will burn em while tie knot..if not pull enough they will slip..
Σε καποιες δοκιμες ολισθαινει δεν ξερω γιατι?
Nice knot, seems impossible with 7lb test leader
