      @@JasonWW2000 yeah it won't do any harm . It's just it doesn't look like a professional job or like it was done by someone that don't care about the quality of work. All it would take is a red scotch bright pad or 600 then 800 wet sand paper,or walnut shell blasted ,or even b)ast it with baking soda rather than sand. Dry ice in a sand blaster would be good also. Anything but leaving it black. It's usually just plain steel since it's just a hold down and not anything that is being used for its thermal properties. It's just holding the fetts snug against the aluminum case. It doesn't need to be anything more than that really. It just bothers me to see that black shit. I would never leave it black for myself or a paying customer. And I don't know I just wouldn't feel like much of a professional if I left it looking like that. That's where I was coming from with that comment.

      remote isn't grounded so no your close but its grounded trough the rca cables which is bad because that happens when the preamp section of a amp is going out or theres a shotty ground in the amp or car this is why you always make sure your ground is good and is hooked up first its your first line of defense becuase hes lucky the car wasnt on or that amp would of popped alot of thangs attach to them rca cables also that spark is becuase of a loud aka the caps pulling charge trough power in order to complete a circuit it needs to be connected to ground remote turn is a 12 volt posative wire and had noting to do with it but you was some what close

    • @JasonWW2000
      @JasonWW2000 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @Memiselphi Don't connect live wires. Always remove the fuse. Once the wires are installed, run a test light or a 12v bulb across the fuse terminals. That will slowly and safely charge the capacitors.

    • @Memiselphi
      @Memiselphi  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@JasonWW2000 that’s not a feasible option with my current application. My fuses are ran behind the stunt wall, so, I can’t disconnect the fuses to power the amp in That manner.

    • @JasonWW2000
      @JasonWW2000 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @Memiselphi Okay. Here's the second best option.
      I'd suggest hooking up the ground first, then use a bulb or test light between the positive cable and the amp to charge up the capacitors. Once the bulb goes out, then hook up the positive cable.
      That should prevent the usual big spark and any strange noises.
      Some of those Taramps models require you have the speakers connected before you hook up power.

As for the quality of the repair, that falls on the person who did the repairs, and if he’s comfortable with the world seeing his quality of work like this, then that’s on him. So, my subs are getting more than the 5k rms rating that they can handle. I still don’t understand how some people run double to triple the amount of power to their subs, without them smelling.
