  • Kiran Mazumdar Shaw, the brilliant founder of Biocon and a true trailblazer in the biotech industry. We talked for two hours straight, diving into her 40-year journey in biotech and her life beyond business.
In my eyes she is testament to woman entrepreneur in India, no one else comes close.
Kiran is not just an inspiration to me professionally, but also a dear friend and neighbour. Our bond has grown over the years and I can't help but look up to her in so many ways. Her passion for transforming healthcare and giving back to society is incredible. It's a story that can't be missed, told in a more candid manner than ever before.

Our country produces many incredible entrepreneurs, but it doesn't often produce pioneers who develop technology that transcends globally.
A very powerful moment is when she says she went to Ireland, 'not because I didn't understand the technology, but to see how it works.' We need a series on Kiran's life that could inspire a new generation of biotech engineers and entrepreneurs.

If you're reading this, and haven't liked or subscribed yet, this is your cue
1:57:54 - there's a great angle to this with the panelists giving back to society.
Propel this vision further, it takes 3-4 seconds of your time. :)

Thank you Nikhil for starting this initiative of Philontraphy and inviting people to be part of this great cause. I am sure there are many who want to contribute and make a difference but are not sure if it would be channeled to the right cause. We need crediable voices like you, who people can trust to take it forward🙏

I could only wish for this conversation to happen sooner than latter. Thanks Nikhil for hosting Kiran and sharing this conversation with public.
I would like to vote this charity for helping people get healthcare that they badly need but can't afford. I recently personally experienced an impressive affordable but qualitative healthcare solution in Gurgaon, called CanWinn Arogya Dham. I wish there are more such unique initiatives.

I admire Kiran & Biocon a lot. Biocon is next level but I don't know why it doesn't reflect in it's stocks. I am still holding it even though I am in loss.

I don’t remember the last time I saw suchh an engaging podcast. It’s 3 in the night here and I couldn’t just stop and put my phone down because this felt soo refreshing. I learnt soo many new things, I am reminded of soo many things and this is what Bangalore has been all about, for people who are really passionate and hardworking and be who they are without any virtue signaling. Thank you sir for creating this.

Thank you #NikhilKamath for inviting Kiran Mazumdar to your show. I hope to see more women entrepreneurs on your show. As for a noble cause to donate funds, I think we should consider any NGO that works for caring/improving the lives of animals.

thanks kiran & nikhil for this amazing conversation, i loved it. Following things i learned in this conversation are: 1. Good things takes time for eg: it takes 26 years to make this company a billion dollar worth. 2. make your carrier in the area which you passionate about the it'll be great chances to do something big for eg: kiran mam and nikhil bhaiya make their carrier in the which they like or passionate about( ) .
