Where is this? What arf is this Blackhorse? Which engine? when you come in hot for landing and have to do a go around and your engine quits, one would normally put it in, straight ahead, in this case, turning back to the field at the 2:30 mark could be a must or the only choice to find the model. On our maidens, we do four circuits to trim out the model, then land and check for loose bits and tune the engine if needed and check the engine if hot if the engine is new. My DLE 55RA quit in my Spitfire on the go around, like your P-40, fortunately I was able to belly it in straight ahead with minimal damage. Are you able to rebuild the P-40? NIce video, nice flight - unfortunate ending!
You'd have to fly for 15 minutes to run out of gas in most gas planes. More likely the engine was lean on the low end, as it died on acceleration. Looked like a new DLE85 - not unusual for new engines to need some fine tuning before they're dialed in just right.
I hate to see beautiful models crashed….but this guy is crazy, no one should fly a scale model on its maiden flight like a 3D pattern ship, I won’t say he deserves it, but I hope it’s a lesson learned?
Nice plane, .....but why not use switch to flap mix elevator -10% for landing?
Heartbreaking to see ... a beautiful model.

This is old phoniex model scheme p 40 I think size is 20 cc or 35
Definitely ran out of gas. You could hear the engine sputter in one of those loops when the fuel shifted.

Left rudder, right aileron, slight nose down may have made the 180° without stalling.
Im going to say he ran out of gas
yep shoulda landed while he still had fuel
More likely lean on the low end.
Sorry for your loss. It always hurts to crash!
Sorry for your crash. Sound like you ran out of fuel. Nice plane. Hope it's back in the air soon.

Oh dear, still repairable, and maybe you could hide the exhaust in the fuselage,,,
Surely...u didn't sleep that night..?
😱😱
Rich man's toy!
Ärgerlich, sieht aber reparierbar aus...
😢😢😢😢
