Just got done putting mine together. My last build was "not" a Freewing model. WHAT A DIFFERENCE! Freewing is the best jet out of the box, and this Gripen to me is one of the best Freewing jets I've had...up there with all the others, but man it is sexy! I didn't go with the TV, had it on my SU-35 and it just burns batteries too fast (althought backflips are pretty cool!). I was hoping this one came with the afterburner like in the video, but nope...so I ordered one from Gooniac! :) Now I need to do the mixing on my Graupner MZ-24, but following the video, it's pretty much the same as Spektrum...at least in theory! :) Thanks for the great videos, MotionRC - you guys ROCK!

How does Freewing do it? Every jet that they make not only flies terrific, but looks great too! Just when you thought they couldn't get any better, they go and come out with this thing! Saving for a JAS-39...

Very glad to see you guys starting to test and share some thoughts on cg and rates that are not just 100% bound by loyalty to the manual.
I realize that caution is required, but fact remains that most models unlock a lot more of their potential if tuning cg and rates.

You should separate the power for the engine from the power to the controls. Use two batteries to avoid loss of controls when engine is at full speed at the end of battery charge.
Thinking really hard on this one , Would like to have the TV unit also, Looks like it would work really well off of my home field , and that's a Grate Plus for me .

These Freewing Jets should bring the Big RC Jet guys Scrambling. If they aren't throwing money at you guys for these Jets, somethings wrong. These things will make big scale modeling a thing of the past.
Hope not, but the guys who love the big stuff can still have a ton of fun with our stuff
@@MotionRC For sure, but the choice comes down to: Crash a 500.00 dollar Jet with super scale detail, or a 20,000.00$ Jet with super scale detail? Hmmm. I'm a Foamie flier from way back, I love seeing their evolution.
The biggest question I have currently is will we be able to pre-order the thrust vectoring upgrade? I'm going to watch your mixing video see if I can have mine ready to go before it arrives. But you know you can also share your TX settings online. Waiting for this one for a long time! The typhoon eurofighter V1 had no rudder so the TV was mixed to the elevons. I noticed you have your TV on your elevator and Rudder.
Did you ask Alpha in the discord chat? You know we will let everyone know as soon as we know for sure. I can share my file for sure on squawk, but doesn't help anyone without spektrum. This video can at least help people with other protocols see the principles of the mix and work through their transmitters
Hi, can u explain hiw ti set yo a gyro on gripen? Due plane has 5 outputs (canards aleron elevator , rudder) and gyro only 3 inputs

I have bought a JAS-39 Gripen from you and have a Spektrum AR10360T receiver that I intend to use. In the model, all AUX channels are occupied by canard and thrust vector. Can't I use the gyro AS3X in the plane?

I had received my Gripen and noticed while building that there is no factory installed UBEC? And it does not mention anywhere in the item description page on your website or youtube videos that a receiver battery or UBEC is required? Can A UBEC be added?
you can always add UBEC
Is an 8 channel receiver required?
How many channels do you need on the Rx to have thrust vectoring on a switch?
Well, to gain full control of the canards and TV, you will want 9 channels.
When you remove the nose section for transport, what will be the total lenght of the aircraft then?

It does sound absolutely great out-of-the box, but about that 9-blade plastic fan...any ideas on how it will sound with a 12-blade metal unit?🤔

Hi Motion RC. The real Gripen has a total of three landing lights, those who are located at the main struts, is there any possibility that the light at the front strut will fit the struts at the rear with its brackets and then for connection use two Y-harness for them to work? Any ideas?
off the top of my head right now I am not sure the nose lights will work, but there are so many smaller light options that for sure something can work with the leads as you suggested

Why does this thing randomly put out some crazy good sounds?
Air flow through the intakes and around the angles on this one definitely does that. Still not quite as awesome as the Venom, that one has the best wooshes IMO
