Used my first cut bait the other night. Small Chad was all I could find with my cast net but it got 2 small blue cats. What a great night it was. Thank you for all the tips and advice!
Justin, you do a great job of instructing us onmhow to catch these wonderful fish. Keep up the good work. After 70 years of bass fishing, I'm enjoying catching these cats. You can teach an old dog some new tricks.
Thanks for showing us your graph and how you follow the structure. You have mentioned structure fishing many times and the value of understanding structure. You also mentioned the Buck Perry structure fishing series videos so I checked them out. They are targeted to bass fishermen yet I recommend ALL catfishermen watch that series. The instruction there applies to all freshwater fish, in my opinion and you have proved, Justin, that structure fishing really works.
I have learned a lot about catfishing from a kayak from watching your videos. I got out today and smacked a few good blues! Thanks for making the videos.
Justin:: " that's a larger dink I guess".. Viewers:: " that's over 10lbs!!" When you land fish over 30-40lbs most days, a 10 is a dink. He don't weigh his fish but man he has got some Giants under his belt y'all.
Nice pleasant day on the water. It seems that your dink is another mans trophy. It's all relative. And it is all about the fight. It's that fight that makes fishing fun. As always, thanks for taking us with you.
My Grandparents used to have a place just above the cove beside the I70 Bridge there. Never could sleep when visiting due to the flashing lights on the steam plants smokestacks. Great fishing though.
Just saw you made the cover of catfish now congratulations. Been watching you a while even though I fish from a boat your techniques will work. My knees are to bad for a kayak.
Always fun to get out even if you do get skunked keep doing what your doing buddy enjoy yourself I know for me when I get out it allows me to relieve stress
Another great video Justin .... yeah kinda hard to talk over that I-40 traffic LOL. That new kayak took you along way down from you last video there at the steam plant (evening fishing). Caught some good fish again and again I’m at work and on break watching Kayak Catfish! Waiting on the next one bro be safe!!
Made my hump day morning! Thanks for showing the graphs. I have been researching fish finders looking to see which ones have the capability and also which ones you can download content and install on it. Once again thank you for another good one!
Heck yeah I seen the big blue damn what a tail that's a good size there wow thanks for the video I love watching you and catfish Dave y'all are my two favorite ones for the catfish keep it up
Not the size I am sure you were looking for, but those were some good numbers, and I am always happy to see clean, healthy, muscular fish... I agree that offering a variety of bait is not something we see enough of... Noticed you are down to 3 rods in a couple vids lately... You down a rod, or needing anything? Glad to help if I can... I still have some old boat and pier saltwater gear, but it is heavy enough to handle the cats I believe... You can reach me via my About section if you wanna talk... Thanks for sharing Justin... Peace.
Great outing with size and numbers. Expert explanation of your approach: structure, graph, terminal tackle, etc. I bet I could use that exact same approach for sharks out here in So Cal. Mackerel instead of skipjack, 2-rods max., steel leader. Big mess when you get one, though.
Will be fishing a cat tournament on the Ohio down here on the Indiana and Kentucky border this weekend. Hopefully we’ll get into a good one. Last trip saw a 82 pulled up
By far my favorite channel on TH-cam. I wish you'd do a Douglas lake video because I don't have access to the tn river as easily. I need some help on Douglas.
I’ve learned a lot of my catfishing techniques from you, and it payed of because I caught my PB Blue catfish out of my uncles creek. It was 20 or 25 pounds. May not be monsterous but definitely still a decent blue
Your absolutely right about Murphy’s Law about bait 😂 good fishing with ya again, skunked me yet again.. ( hard to catch fish at home watching the channel ) Thanks for sharing , safe an fun 🎣 fishing to ya good sir
Also you were talking about size of fish been same here a friend of mine from dept wildlife said its due to the high number of people on the lake has changed there patterns some might be why its that way in your area as well enjoy your show keep up the work
Hey there justin I just got my brand new nine foot surfrod spinning combo it is a blacktip medium heavy with a seven thousand size reel with either twelve to fourteen pound test I rigged it with a thirty pound test mono leader and really looking forward to breaking it in I will be using this combo for big catfish out at elephant butte lake in new Mexico.wish me luck.p.s. my dream size blue catfish is fifteen pounds and I've been waiting very patiently to catch him for three long years.
Hey Justin. Just down from there at thr next river junction is a real nice point next to a deep hole. Would you do a video there? I got tore up there and id like to see if I'm missing any BIG fish there..
what is the water contamination like on the Clinch I like to eat catfish and it is hard to find places to fish that isn't a pond that isn't too contaminated
holy shit i had a crazy weekend switched up my baits to crappie and landed a 45lb new PB blue cat. i also lost the biggest fish ive ver seen it only depens my passion for trophy cats. i went and upgraded my line and reel and hopfully i can land the next one i was so heartbroken he poped 50lb braid like nothing.
Justin, congrats on the new kayalk. How many storage trays do you have on that thing? Im jealous. I recently retired and got myself a kayak. You have any tips on adding storage like that? I seem to end up with everything under my feet!
@@KayakCatfish thanks, I did watch both of your walk thru videos. Intetesting to see how it changed to fit you. Maybe "storage tray" is the wrong term. When you land a fish, it just seems you always have pliers, glove, etc. right there and I see you put your tools back. Just seems like you have places to keep that stuff. Im looking to get my boat organized like that. Didnt know if that's a modification or what. All my things seem to end up underfoot no mater wher i try to keep them. Anyway, thanks for sharing your experience and adventures. Thanks for caring enough to respond to me(us) that watch. You're a good man, Justin.
Justin, what do you think about the pro-cat rods from academy, have you tried one, are they worth the 20 or so bucks? Love the channel keep putting up the great content.
Nicest most humblest fisherman on TH-cam, thanks Justin for another fishing trip, those river fish fight harder.
I must say that his channel has gotten better and better, over the years. He's definitely improved his content. A very good channel!

Try a spinnerbait for fishing the classic, up size your lures a little will definitely put you on some larger bass, good luck tonight.
like always great video. you talk so clearly, easy to understand. fish water on you is success lol. stay safe.

I would want to see you fish on the Ohio river in Evansville Indiana and see what fish you can pull out of the Evansville area of the river
You do more fishing in a week then I get in a year. Super jealous. Another great job.
I always look for you when I cross the bridge.
I drive over them bridges every time I visit my parents in Lebanon TN.
Another great video happy Wednesday 👍
Another good vid, Justin.
All those fish are huge to me him yeah a good little cat fish
You seem hard on yourself sometimes. I'm sure many of us aspire to have one of your off days. Hang in there and fish on!
Yes something to watch at work! Thanks Justin you the man! 🎣😎
Great video Justin what does the clinch do run into the tennessee
Yes. It dumps into the Tennessee a little ways down from where I was at.

Another great video Justin hoping you can get a golly whopper soon ! Wishing you all the best
You should try drifting the Emory river in Harriman
I went there about a month ago but didn’t get enough footage for a video
Hey Justin. Just down from there at thr next river junction is a real nice point next to a deep hole. Would you do a video there? I got tore up there and id like to see if I'm missing any BIG fish there..

Do you ever do any bass fishing or any other kind of fishing.
Yes. The search box and playlist section is your friend.
what is the water contamination like on the Clinch I like to eat catfish and it is hard to find places to fish that isn't a pond that isn't too contaminated
Does the gps on the trolling motor have the option to mark where you caught the larger fish?
I usually just mark a waypoint on my graph but you can store up to 10 spots on the motor.
Awesome video!!! You rocccckkkk!!!!!
Hey Justin was wondering how do you catch your white bass and other baits?
I have videos on my channel showing how I do it
@@KayakCatfish ok I'll search
I have found that if I toss them head first away from the kayak I don't get splash ed and that means a lot in cold weather

The motor noise seem less in the last couple videos. You change your setup a little or is it the motor getting quieter with use?
I’m just using the audio from my chest cam only now. It’s not as noticeable on there as it is on the front camera that is right by the motor.
I predict Your next outing. Will have a 50 pound plus. Enjoyed the video👍
