      Economists agree that it will be financially damaging to the country.
      Only a halfwit would think trade deals with little hands that see pharma prices sky rocket and private interests assaulting the NHS will be good for the country.
      Unless you're a billionaire with a vested interest, I do hope you have private healthcare in place soon.
      It's going to get VERY expensive around here, one way or the other.

    • @bnap3221
      @bnap3221 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      LeftyTosser68 ‘relentless media brainwash’, you seem to lack understanding of most of those words. Both sides bring forth their arguments, each person decides for himself which argument seems the most reasonable. The arguments of your side seemed the least reasonable. Your side definitely made their arguments clear to the people (or engaged in media brainwash, as you prefer to call it), being supported by the then government and substantial parts of the media etc. According to the people, your side seemed the least attractive to the British people. So be a good boy, accept that you lost, and stop being a bitch about it. Merry Christmas.

      @@FireBlade9773
      The Media has been "brainwashing" in favor of the EU and against Brexit since 2016.
      Standard "not all" clarification. Beyond that, one could argue that these economists are either covering their own rears (due to having connections in the UK and EU) or are being paid to say that Brexit is bad (as has been found in a few cases). The lack of consistent statistics, coupled with disagreements over what will change (due to the massive delay in Brexit happening) and the lack of major economic damage during both the original Brexit vote and the general election, makes all opinions open to skepticism.
      USA has also already pointed out that they aren't interested in getting involved in the UK's healthcare. If the NHS has any problems, it's because of any inherent problems it has, not because of the USA's involvement/presence.
      Private healthcare insurance isn't insanely expensive. Just need to research it a bit to find the option that's right for you.
      Why exactly would it get "very" expensive all of a sudden, for any sort of long term, when the UK doesn't have to rely on any one country to buy things from?

      Scotland actually wouldn't be allowed to join the EU so it just be handicapping itself doing that, aside from Spain blocking it, it also doesn't have a sufficient economic foundation to join, (its public sector specifically is actually incapable of supporting itself on the long term separated from England) which while not specifically guaranteed to keep it out alone, would definitely be a major factor in keeping it out.

    • @Spartan322
      @Spartan322 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@sebastianbocanegra7420 I suppose so, would be a demonstration of the idiocracy of democracy imo. Like despite hating the EU intensely I can understand why they'd rather be in it but it seems rather stupid to respond by just ejecting themselves from the UK, it be so shortsighted I'd wonder if they weren't born from moles. In the least they'd be more stable in the UK then outside it even in the worst economic cases. But at least the more left-wing part of the UK would be gone and the Celtic Union would gain more credence as a concept. I doubt that the former would fix anything though, the UK's politics are just generally trash like most of Europe.
