    bought the patches after hearing them on this... must have missed them when first relased.. stunning work on both sounds and the TH-cam promo. I even watched it again after buying the patches..

      Hi @Sonic Energy Authority! Thank you so much for your kind words and support. Whilst I always create with my heart, encouraging sentiments really do reinforce that what I have tried to do is worthwhile. Some days I have my doubts, but times like this your feedback really does help me. All the best and enjoy the sounds!

    Some beautiful sounds in here, nice playing as well! Mod Weaver reminds me of my good old Roland XV 3080!

    I don't own a Peak, but I'm almost ready to by these patches. Great work!

      They're well worth it. It's my defacto analog style polysynth. I know there's others but I feel I could make most any sound I like with it. Would love a Summit thou!

    Great sound bank, really different and refreshing than the usual vintage/brass/synthwave on the market
    It's a really good source of inspiration for my own sound.
    I hope to see more like this one.
    Keep going

      Thanks very much. Indeed, by the time I get hold of a synth, there’s often a great many patches covering those styles. Appreciate the encouragement - I hope to do just that!

      Ah good for you man! It’s my go to hardware synth. Such a versatile machine that I truly believe will stand the test of time. Enjoy! 😉👍

      Ha! Yes too much time I think, still I do it for the right reasons!

    These are beautiful. It feels like these are one of the few banks which get what the Peak/Summit is meant for. Most everyone else seems to be going for vintage poly stuff and it just sounds meh. And I think the factory patches at this point are generally known for being horrible. If I decide to keep the Summit I have on loan now, I would definitely go for these!

    • @Soundsauca
      @Soundsauca  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi @Forest Child. Thanks very much for your kind words. Some of the advice I get from people is to make my banks more "genre" orientated and to concentrate on a specific sound. I can't do that!
      My work is more of a demonstration of the synth through exploration. I don't follow a set formula (maybe I should!) but it's not my way. There's plenty of very accomplished musicians/sound designers out there who fill the need for those vintage poly sounds. So my view is to try something different. Anyhow I'd keep the Summit if I were you. They are very capable machines and there's much more in them!
      Thanks

    Just bought these. On the whole some nice sounds but the levels vary enormously - at least on a summit - some 'normal' and some blow your speakers up levels!

    • @Soundsauca
      @Soundsauca  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi there, thanks very much for your purchase, I really appreciate it. I'm glad you like many of the sounds in the bank. It is a varied bunch as I like to explore the synth in various ways as opposed to genre specific patches. I know that probably puts some people off!
      With regard to how loud they are, I will investigate this further. Naturally I level matched the sounds so maybe something is awry. I'm wondering if there is a difference with the patch gain structure on the Summit to Peak. Some sounds indeed push the filter and drive settings to extremes which should be compensated elsewhere in the patch.
      If you like, feel free to drop me a mail here: www.soundsauca.com/contact and we can investigate which patches are causing an issue so I can test them here. Thank you for your feedback!

    Oh my god. A couple of months ago I bought a Cobalt8x. You showed me a great synth for all my needs. But now (is it the GAS-syndrom?) I'm interested in another one, a counterpart. My first intentions has gone to the Argon8, because of the great sounds you created. But now, I'm hooked on the Peak. Everybody in my synth-community tells me, the Peak is a very impressive synth. Then your creations comes around and now I know: I need a peak.

    • @Soundsauca
      @Soundsauca  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It’s the GAS! Long time sufferer here too. Argon/Peak both are very different machines. Peak has wavetables but if I was after that trademark WT sound I’d choose Argon. Very transparent and clean. Peak being hybrid has more dirt, girth etc due to the analog areas (hence the cost).
      Argon is more rewarding initially, Peak requires (for me at least) serious time investment to get more out, but there’s more there… it’s a rewarding instrument that I’ve barely scratched the surface. More to come, I started with the beautiful side, now it’s the dark side of Peak;)!

    I had a peak and was dead bored of the sounds including all the free packs that can be DL, these presets though are totally awesome, great job with sound design

    • @Soundsauca
      @Soundsauca  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks. Personally speaking, it’s my kind of synth - a great raw sound but with hidden depths. Wish I had a Summit… alas it’s too much for me atm.

    Dude you are awesome really. Diamond Peak - i mean come on. Is this one sound and melody? Make an effing track out of it :)

    • @Soundsauca
      @Soundsauca  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi mate. Thanks so much, not sure anyone's watching it as it's sooo long! It's one sound - chord and then melody played over top. Mod wheel IIRC spits out the lfo zapping if that's what you mean. A track! I dunno man! I get stuck in a loop too much, I'd love to, maybe...
      Still - Football's coming HOME!! (fingers crossed)

    Question: how long have you been doing sound design?

    • @Soundsauca
      @Soundsauca  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well if you count playing around on a friend's Yamaha PSS, 30 years probably. For real - since 2019 :)

    novation has been going downhill their last ok synth was mini nova/ ultranova this is just a mcvst in a box with knobs lost all previous Novation signature sound. They did make good midi controllers which i have not sure how the new ones are now maybe they are crap too.

    • @Soundsauca
      @Soundsauca  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there. I've used a fair few of Novation synths. Supernova still sounds amazing and does have a "sound" to it. Peak is awesome IMHO, and rightly sounds different to others. However it still has that Novation signature.
      Novation lost their long time DSP/Analog genius Chris Huggett (R.I.P.) a few years back. Whilst undoubtedly their synths were more than the work of one man, I'd put him up alongside Dave Smith etc in terms of his contribution to the industry.
      Mininova doesn't have all the fidelity of modern plugins, but like all synths it has its signature and it hangs together in a compact unit that is quite unique.

    • @cfcreative1
      @cfcreative1 ปีที่แล้ว

      ya i was initially unimpressed with the mini nova but it can sound ok if you use it mixed with other instruments in general i don't think new analogue synths sound as fat as older ones so even Dave Smith new stuff etc to me doesn't sound great even with the high price tag I do think there is a new trend with synths to be more toys for instant gratification then really something mind blowing I read the science behind the peak about the super high sampling rate or something well the proof is in the pudding so they say if it doesn't sound better to the ear why would you add that feature seems like the world is crazy where people do stuff that just doesn't make real sense...... @@Soundsauca
