just stumbled on this channel a couple days ago and it's really opened my eyes to how much the cubing scene has changed and developed. When I started, 7 years ago, magnets in cubes were unheard of, redKB was my favorite channel on youtube and the best cubes on the market weren't 60 dollars. It's been really fun rediscovering this old world and picking up my yulong for the first time in years, thanks for the nostalgia trip :)
same. cubing feels like a nostalgic childhood memory too for me. when i started cubing, redkb was probably the most popular cubing channel, magnets in cubes were rare, and cubes were very cheap. i actually used a very cheap cube which doesnt cornercut that good, my solves were like 30s (i didnt learn full cfop back then). 2 years ago i just picked cubing back up and im in love with it.
@@P4R5 When I solve now I have to keep the flow going cuz the memory of what the algs actually are is completely gone, it's all muscle memory. My best time was 16 seconds on a lucky solve, but average 30 back in middle school, and my cube I've had for like 6 years cost me less than 20. Don't know if I'll fully pick cubing up again but I'm glad it'll be with me for ages :)
@@kiwicuber oh I get it nvm. But worlds wouldn’t take that long tbh. And so what if it takes a week, the biggest competition should have to take a while
Nice to see all those versions in one color schema. I have almost all versions, but I consider buying because they look cool together. I hope MoYu will continue the series, e.g. petal pyraminx, clover pyraminx,... :)
And there's a reasonable chance we could be seeing the higher level analogues mass produced in the future: www.reddit.com/r/NewCubes/comments/jybv2a/shengshou_4x4_and_6x6_jings_pyraminx/
The last two puzzles with centers actually remind me of the Master Pyraminx center moves. If anything, the last one is a simplified Master Pyraminx (where the edge pieces are all fused and the tips are fused to their “centers”) or a Jing’s Pyraminx (which is actually based on a Skewb mechanism).
It's amazing how many similarities can be found among different types of puzzles! I can't believe I never realized that the DuoMo Cube (and Triangle Pyramid) were just weird-shaped Jing Pyraminxes.
These puzzles are my next to get. Absolutely love the corner twisting one. Ty for all the awesome cubing tutorials, i have autism and never thought id ever be able to solve them. Now im onto to tougher puzzles
How many permutations on each of the puzzles? HELP ME! Corner Twist Pyraminx: 81 Boomerang Pyraminx: max 46080 (without parities or symmetry) Bead Pyraminx: 324 Windmill Pyraminx: max 1,105,920 (without parities or symmetry) Maple Leaf Pyraminx: 933,120 Triangle Pyraminx: 3,732,480
These puzzles didn’t look too challenging. They are probably something that you solve once or just add to your collection. Or a cube that you can hand to your younger sibling or a beginner.
That last one is what I think should be a pyraminx. 3x3s and megaminxs have centers, corners, and edges. I find it weird that pyraminxes have edges, corners, and tips.
I was considering buying some of these, but I wanted to know how they turn, just to avoid having a dozen pyraminxes that work the same and I already know how to solve. Thanks to this video, I know only one is potentially worth entering my collection. Thank you Z3Cubing, you gave me the Cubing fever a couple of years ago, and watching your reviews is still a delight.
What i find interesting is this is every combination of corners edges and centers you can use to make a valid puzzle. The only combination not used is just centers and if you think about that for a second or longer youd realize that isnt a puzzle its just a pyramid with colors
some months ago i wanted my little brotber to scramble my piramynx and while i was solving it i discoverd that all you have to do is to solve the blue side corectly, thn the green side and you should be 1 move away from solving it. If it doesn't work, tbe repeat the proces until you solve it. I hope i helped someone😁
This would have been an amazing video to release on the first of April. No particular reason for that exact date, but i think the timing would have been better.

idk, his last upload was 4 years ago. just seemed to fizzle out, was the best cuber content around back then@@realjordantrs
Hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu
Those look pretty cool. Glad there are some more Non WCA puzzles getting released! Wish there were more in the WCA though...
Me too
People say that, but in reality, worlds would take over a week and people just don’t have that time
@@kiwicuber oh I get it nvm. But worlds wouldn’t take that long tbh. And so what if it takes a week, the biggest competition should have to take a while
Ninja Seth if there were more puzzles added, the world championships would take forever, as we already have one-week championships.

Last time I was this early pyramids weren't considered cubes.

Great video! I'd love to see more like this, reviewing non-standard puzzles.
These puzzles use all possible subsets of corners, edges, and centers, besides the empty set and the centers-only puzzle.
"the centers-only puzzle"
Oh you mean the monominx?
I mean empty doesn't exist, and center only isn't a puzzle.

Also that last one is a Jing’s Pyraminx
I like how they come in pairs
Was thinking that myself. The first one is an effective 2x2 analogue of it

In one of their promo, Moyu stated it was meant for kids to start with pyraminx series, to go from easiest onward.
So if your kids or young silbing or friends can't solve your 3x3 cube then pass them the easy one to make them understand how puzzle works.
ah yes *cube,* very cube shaped i feel you tbh
this is just a joke plz dont bully me
Great video! Ive been watching since you were lego boy z3. I just wanna say i have still been watching for 4 or 5 years

I'm actually going for the record for longest time solving a 3x3 Rubik's cube. I started in 2010 and haven't touched it since.
No, but you need to be actively trying for it to count. Leaving it there doesn't mean anything.

Finally! A cube I can actually solve!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Totes gonna get this for my brother (he a cuber) then play with it myself ... 😉😉😉😜
I like that you always just yeet the instructions to the side 😂
Yes!! Awesome unboxing and reviews!!
Refferences: 1. Corner twist pyramid - 2x2 Jing
2. Bead pyramid - Pyraminx duo
3. Boomerang pyramid - Edge pyraminx
4. Windmill pyramid - Before but with pyraminx duo mechanism
5. Maple leaf pyramid - Tetraminx or pyraminx - tips
6. Triangle pyramid - Jing 3x3.
Gotta love that alliteration in the title.

Finally, a true pyraminx that has only 1 center in each side
Underrated channel
For some reason I had a dream about a puzzle like that last one, I had no idea it actually existed
Nice Unboxings, solves amd Reviews sir... The only video in which Unboxing, solves and review is done in a very short time... That too of 6 puzzles
Happy holidays 🎄🎄🎄
I got the MoYu Bead Pyramid yesterday.
The triangle puzzles kinda remind me of Rubik's cubes but if you made them into triangles.
They sure do...
The 3 center swap is possible on the master pyraminx, that's what I knew the algorithm from
Cool puzzles especially for inspiring small children
Can I just mention how much I love these colour palettes
The last one should definitely be a WCA approved Pyraminx
the last one is almost exactly like a Jing's Pyraminx
It is
I noticed the Triangle Pyraminx is a ported version of a Redi Cube.
1:25 2x2 pyraminx
2:52 4 spot pyraminx
you gonna finish it?
Alliteration used in a creative way
Great and fun video. I may need to get a few of those for non cubers to fidget with.
