I love this... I can't listen to this recording without recalling the day it was made. I had time left over from my Voyage recording session at Theodore Roosevelt's Birthplace concert hall on the top floor. Katherine had been backstage following the scores to my tracks, ensuring all my Ts were crossed. With the remaining time, she took my flute, having never played it before, I don't think, and went out front to the microphone and played Kokopeli. I can't recall if it was from memory or not, but there would have been no reason for me to have the sheet music with me. I will always cherish this memory and countless others. I miss her very much.
