Sorry you guys are having those problems. Sure you will get it worked out. Try to. Stay positive, know it’s hard!!
A session on a rolling road will solve your problem. Will be expensive bur frustrations will disappear. Good luck. 🇬🇧
Thank you! We will find it
Check out the ground!!!
That’s one thing we’re gonna look deep into this week
I’m just throwing stuff out there , lol have you all checked the battery ? Those 16v batteries have a tendency for problems . We even had the decking bounce around on top of battery and shortening out on the post causing car to cut out . Again.. just trying to help lol, master switch also does that. Ground wire ? Who knows …
Ours plans this week are to replace the battery, fuel lines and ignition switch. Hopefully it’s one of those
Damn Ya'll. I hate that for ya'll. Hope you get her figured out soon. Good Luck ya'll
Thank you!
I was really hoping that carb would straighten everything out for y'all.. Just keep digging
So were we! Thank you
when we ran late models back in the day on very hot days we would have the same problems found out was getting a vapor lock in the fuel system we took a wooden clothes pen and clipped it on the fuel line close to the motor it would absorb the heat and it helped alot
We’ve got insulation on our fuel lines to try to prevent that. It’s done it all year, even when it wasn’t hot
hay you all did great. Glad we got to come watch in the 94 degrees heat lol I know it sucks I watch your alls passion and dedication he ran great in the feature just that bad luck again. I think it electrical started with the battery. Glad to see you all. See you all son. Love Chris's passion by the way.. of I didn't believe in you guys I wouldn't drive 4 hours lol
We appreciate your support, Tom! For you guys to drive 4 hours to watch and hang out meant a lot to us!
Dang it. Brad, everything looked good until it didn't. I'm sorry you're going through all this, chasing your tail trying to figure the problem out.
Can you run a super bowl carburetor? Liked everyone else has suggested. Go through every wire, switch, and ground on that car. Silicone your wiring, sometimes moisture collects in the strangest places after washing the car. I'm as baffled as you are. Never give up, no matter what.
We can run a Super Bowl. We’re gonna replace the ignition switch, battery, fuel lines and plugs.
Yall gonna get it figured out Brad maybe try fuel line next.
Our plan is to replace the battery, fuel lines and ignition switch this week
If the rules allow you to run a crank trigger then run it. If you are running one now. Inspect it for cracks. Plug wires for ohms resistance. The porcelain on the plugs for brown spots. If there is a chassis Dyno near you book some time on it.
We don’t believe it to be anything motor. We’ve ran 3 different motors and had the same issues with all. Plug wires are brand new. Distributor is new. We are going to replace the plugs, fuel lines, battery and ignition switch this week
Hate you to see you guys struggling. It kills the whole vibe of a hobby. Change something and drive up the street or road you live on at least. don’t tow it hours away to find the gremlin is still there. It will only frustrate you more. Your neighbors probably don’t mind if you give them a heads up so they can get children and dogs out of the way first. I chased many gremlins and it was something simple that you have time to think about a race track under pressure. Relax and find it.
Keep your heads up and I hope you find what it is soon. I enjoy watching all your videos
Thank you so much!
Man that car was running great I don't know what it was doing there but it looked good on the track it was hauling the mail good job to the crew good job to the car I'm sorry it fell out on the last of the race but man you look good and Brad I know you were having fun brother and I'm just so glad I was on edge watching this and it was great thank you I'll take care and God bless
Thank you! God bless
we used to add a dab of silicone on every wire connector or nut on the wiring harness to absorb vibration
If you are running a mechanical fuel pump on the motor change the fuel pump rod if it's a carbon rod that's what was wrong with mine put a stock one back in and runs out good. Great video awesome job and keep digging 👍
We will check into it. Thank you!!
100%, we had this problem also. We somehow used the wrong rod and it was short stroking which would cause it to shut off in corners . But like you said , IF it’s on the motor .
Check the ground wire
That’s one thing we’re gonna look deep into this week
Hang in there guys. I hate seeing you all that down and out. You’ll get things turned around soon. Anyone that has ever fooled with these this on a tight budget knows what you’re going through. You can definitely tell you guys hearts and souls in this and love what you do. How nice would it be to have the budget to just replace everything at once. But I had people tell me I wouldn’t appreciate it as much when everything went right. I sure would have loved to experience the other side just to see. You all take care and stay safe.
Thank you John! We will get it figured out
Was it you guys or some else,,, that said there is a part of the MSD distribution, that comes loss, you might check that, there is a part in the MSD that has a problem, ok he k it out , thanks BigAl California
Brad was running great when he was running. Time to check every wire and connection in that car to see if something could be arcing. Hope you didn't lose the engine.
Thank you! Engine is fine
Check the ignition switch I’ve had that go bad and do the same thing I replaced everything like you guys did and it gets very frustrating but you all will get it figured out and get some wins!
Thank you! Gonna replace that this week, along with fuel lines and battery.
for next time you have a issue with the msd a guy I used to help would put a weather pack connection on hos msd 's to aid getting it replaced alot faster in a emergency situation
I would recommend checking all the wiring in the car, sounds like you have something causing interference with the coil/msd! Hope you guys figure out what’s wrong with the car!
That’s the plan this week
It’s hard to get a car dialed in when having a motor issue. Motor issues are fixed now let’s get the car dialed in a little better. 😊
Unfortunately the issues aren’t fixed yet.
@@daysofdirtwithbradberryracing well dang. Guess I should have watched the end of the video to catch that. All I heard was it’s running like it should. I’m going to finish watching
I know ya'll are frustrated but I am sure you will get it figured out soon. I'm wondering if you get her lined out if you plan on running in July 6 HTF race at Senoia. Blessings to you fine folks, and thank you for sharing your adventures.
Thank you! We won’t be there.
Could it be a distributor? Man the car looked great though. I know it’s disappointing and discouraging. Keep up the hard work. You will come out smelling like a rose in the end.
Thank you! Distributor is new
Try the distributor. See if there is any play in the shaft. See if the shaft has lots of play up and down. Had that issue before.
Distributor is fine. It’s brand new.
I didn't hear about distributor last thing left i have had problems with it popping changed it and fixed problem run good ideling but would chang on track just a idea
Our distributor is new.
Never mind you said both motors
Car needed a small adjustment!
Do you have a ground wire on the car?
Yeah
What fuel do you guys run? I had a similar problem when I was running renegade fuels.?
VP Late Model Plus
@@daysofdirtwithbradberryracing oh okay good! Vp is the way to go. Have you looked into possibly heat soaking fuel? Hot fuel vaporizing causing these problems.
What about a faulty rev limiter ? Maybe these cars don't run one.......just a thought !
We swapped MSD boxes last night, it’s built into it
Tac
Tach is new
We had this problem with our pure stock car and the issue ended up being the rocker arm nuts where getting loose when the motor would get hot
We don’t believe ours to be motor because it’s done this with 3 different motors. We believe it to be electrical or battery now
Water in the fuel????
No sir. Fuel is good
@@daysofdirtwithbradberryracing : When you have replaced everything and the problem still exist, the clue is that you are probably not checking the support services
for reintroducing the problem that you have just cleared, example, your fuel comes in barrels, and the storage of them is not tightly controlled or when you power wash after a racing day you back flow a vent or over spray a storage area, such thing are insidious and often not considered.....Good Luck Dr Watson....
We haven’t replaced everything. We think it’s the battery.
@@daysofdirtwithbradberryracing : Is there any chance that engine has hydraulic valve lifters ??? unlikely, but I have to ask....
Woah there, you stated that when you ran high and on it , it ran just fine, correct?? However if you left off then came back on it sounded like a rod had blown out.....I'd say, that you have something wrong in the carb that is drastically changing the fuel / air ratio, like a leaking power valve or a lost steel ball check valve or a float that has a defect in it's suspension system, do you have an exchange carb on hand??...
Sounds like wiring or something!
That’s what we’re gonna look into this week
Next thing I'd do is rewire the car sounds more electrical now put your carburator back to what you know worked in the past
We plan to work on electrical this week
Is it the same distributor you use we chased sounds like the same issue but with us how we found it was we got to noticing different header tube tempatures like the plugs were bad change them to no help found that the pick up in the Mallory was going crazy
Backyard mechanics like me maybe intake cracked or gaskets ??
Yeah. We think it’s electrical at this point
My late model ran great till you got in the corner under power changed the fuel cell and lines and it run great again
Sounds to me like the fuel is swiching are in the fuel cell in the corner try foam in the cell or a different fuel cell
We tore the fuel cell completely apart 2 weeks ago. It’s all good
Dang yall need to catch a break with this car I've never seen someone have so many problems with a car it seams to be a trend with those capital cars i know a few guys here in pa with capitals nothing but problems anyway glad shes working the way shes supposed to
It doesn’t have anything to do with the car itself. It’s more than likely something that was messed up from when he hit the wall, we’ve just been chasing it
@mikebate1093 exactly how does a chassis brand cause an electrical or fuel issue? Makes a whole lot of sense if you don’t think about it.
