The way he tells the stories and all he has been throw is teaching us what is going to happen next, and that is invaluable. Also, I would like to mention that I love how he respects every player and every customer, it is something I share with him and something that should be promoted.

I worked for a man like him. Here in Tanzania, an Italian man, called Nicola. He passed away an year ago, and even the new top managers the Company hired in the tentative to...well, "to" what I don't even know. Anyway, I was just saying that men like my ex boss, and him, will be never replaced by any super excel manager or Oxford manager etc....
Biver and Nicola are unique. An interview like this one, should be eternal like the watches he let us enjoy, and like the Tanzania that Nicola let the people explore in a new way.

I have followed JCB for many years and have been inspired by his words on many occasions, but this short interview spanning 2 posts surely is the superlative definitive account of his achievements, fuelled by his passion and commitment. As a watch enthusiast and collector for many years, I recognise a little of him in me but more indicative is his approach to professionalism and his love for what he does. Something I have always tried to achieve in everything I have done and still try to do today. A giant among men. Wonderful interview by someone who knows how to let the interviewee speak for himself in his own time and in his own way. Excellent work Marc. Impressive stuff from both parties here.

Absolutely agree with his opinion of the future of mechanical watchmaking. I always ask clients to consider their Atmos Clock that is still around for 50 years, but every six months they replace their cell phones. Another aspect to mention is environmental concerns, well reuse, reduce, and recycle. A watch you keep for decades, you have serviced, more conscious than buying disposable watches. It is also much more convenient to look at your wrist for time, rather than pull out cell phone.

Absolutely incredible two part video. Mr Biver had had me riveted to my seat unable to move while I listen to his years of experience in the watch making art and industry. Brilliant!!!

I love how he respects all players, his view of Rolex had me in stitches - its like looking at the Sun, then you turn back you can't see anything anymore...

What a remarkable person is this man! He is inspiring, witty and passionate. A mover and a shaker. I wish him good luck with his health though the interview is already three years old. Thank you for sharing this brilliant interview.

Loved this interview.. not sure why the Rolex comment on art.. I understand that independents are cool but trying to deny that Rolex is not traditional or art seems a bit far... this channel is probably one of the best out here
