(In my case i wanted it the other way around. Dashcam shuts down immediately, but i want it to stay on for about 1 hour because that'll record the time i usually stay at stores. Most hit 'n runs happen in parking lots by people who'm cant park so one hour covers most of that risk).
Thank you for the video. I replaced the battery in my Expedition and reset all factory settings including that for the 12v connection for my dash cam. This video helped set it back to normal with Forscan. Amazing. 😊
Thank you, I needed to disable the timeout so my mini fridge would stay running. It has a self turnoff if the batt gets low so let’s hope that works lol
Thanks for the video. I just got a camera for my truck and wondered why I have an hour of video when I stop somewhere. I think I’m going to leave mine like it is in case something happens to my truck while parked.
Nevermind, it finally worked, I had to wait for the dashboard lights to completely time out and the outlet kicked on, took about 15 seconds to time out

Have a 22 XLT that I plan to tow behind my motorhome. Need constant 12v power to PowerPoint to power auxiliary braking system. I've seen you change your value to 1 minute, but what do I need to do to keep constant ptlets? New to Forscan and trying to learn and not mess things up. Stopped at my selling dealership and they won't even talk with me about Forscan.
You will have to DOWNLOAD the Windows Software - you'll have to apply for a 2 month EXTENDED Warranty for this to work. Without those 2 items - this device will not work. Takes up to 30 minutes to AUTO generate one ... plan ahead !!!
They should’ve made a feature for dummies like me without a laptop. Dang seems like they’ll have a timer limit settings you can control from your steering wheel. I guess I’m to simple for mew vehicles
Hey everyone. I have a 2012 f250 super duty and it seems to be in the awkward in-between sections for spreadsheets. There isn’t a well written one and the 2013+ spreadsheet isn’t the same for many BDYCM (726) codes. I’m trying to find the PowerPoint (12v outlets) timeout code so it times out sooner… I know for f150s the code line is 726-39-01 And for 2013+ super duty’s it’s 726-57-01 But neither seem to be correct for my 2012… Any help would be greatly appreciated. I’ve searched hundreds of forum posts with no answers.

If your car is equipped with it you should be able to turn it on without the As Built feature. Check out my video on "you do not need a spreadsheet" and you should be all set
Does this apply the change to ALL of your outlets (12v & 110v) ? I need to do the opposite of what you have done. I tow my F-150 behind a Class A motorhome and have to run an auxiliary braking system that requires 12v power full time. To get around the timeout feature I had to install an aftermarket 12v outlet tied directly to my battery. Having the timeout feature active when I'm not towing it would make it convenient for the dash camera to power down after a set time though. It would be even nicer if you could selectively mod a specific outlet.
@@AutoDad Thanks for the quick reply. In the mean time I just spotted in the FORSCAN Forum a hardwire mod that you can make to control the individual outlets. :-) You need to reconfigure the fuses. All you need is a fuse holder with pigtails, one 1/4" and one 3/16" female spade terminal and a 20 amp fuse. Assemble them, open the engine bay fuse box and pull out the 20 amp fuse for the outlet (F89 - F92) you want to keep powered on and install the new fuse pigtail on the 3/16" terminal closest to the engine and the 1/4" one on the spare terminal in the front corner of the fuse box. F89 = Dash F90 = Inside Front of Console by the USB port F91 = Rear of console for the back seat F92 = Center console storage bin
@@AutoDad I need the power point to remain on for my Aux braking system when I'm towing it plus you might want to have a cooler plugged in while you are out of the vehicle. I like this because you can just change one outlet to permanently stay powered up while the rest power down at a set time. Keep the videos coming. I have found them to be very useful. Now I need to go find that mod that allows you to turn on the side spotlights at any speed. :-)

This and the non-As Built way will not work for me. Everytime i turn the engine off it wont stay on. Very frustrating

The "Power Point Max Time Out" is the maximum time the Ford will allow the timeout to be set. You can't change that.

Do you know the module numbers/ value to change the on screen Ford start up to the Lincoln screen start up.
