    This has one advantage over my LM2 - it's doesn't use rails and motors to traverse the image ... it uses mirrors. This means I can mount it on my lathe tailstock and burn my makers mark directly on the bowl in the lathe.

    Hi, Sam. I'm a subscriber. Is there any chance you can make the max volume of the opening music closer to your normal speaking volume? A lot of sites make them too loud, and it either upsets others in the room or blows your ears out. It's kind of like those annoyingly loud TV commercials where you have to constantly adjust the volume! ;-)

    I'm getting into Pneumatic Gun Engraving. I'm thinking about using this to transfer artwork onto the Gun surface. If I paint the gun surface with a flat white can you laser engrave the paint without scaring the metal surface below. That way if you don't like how it came out you can just remove the paint and start over. Any thoughts??

    Hi I am wanting to get into laser engraving as a hobby and I am stuck between the laserpecker l1 mini with the tripod and the comgo z1 desktop engraver. I was wondering if you could help me decide what would be best for me? I am wanting to do small projects such as leather projects (wallets/keychains), wood working engraving (not cutting), possibly customize cookies for parties, id like to try etching on a soccer ball for customization, glass etching for customization, things to that nature. My only worry with the comgo is the limited height space underneath. Would be hard to do a soccer ball on that. Also with the comgo I feel like I'd also have to spend another $75 on a cup turner module and I'm not sure if that would be necessary with the laserpecker. Thank you so much for your time and help, love the TH-cam videos.

    You can change the settings from metric to imperial if you are US based and find it easier. Metric will be more accurate to get close measurements quickly if you are used to it, but most US based people are used to imperial so it might be quicker and easier to switch if that is what you are used to

    Could this be used onsite at craft shows for producing products onsite? Maybe coasters with a cork center? Since it is just engraving, should not have much smell or a need for exhaust, right? Too bad it can't do slate coasters.

    • @Samcraftcom
      @Samcraftcom  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It could, it is very portable. HOWEVER any time you engrave anything, there is smell/smoke/exhaust put off... you're burning the items. So from that standpoint I wouldn't advise it.

    Isn't the downside to this laser/cutter is the size of material that can be placed under it and still have the orange shields. Also the laser would have a range limit on how far out it can engrave or cut right? I can see this for small little projects but nothing more than that. Looks nice and setup does look simple only wish the base was bigger.

      My own personal thoughts on sales platforms: the big social medias want to promote their own platforms first. So I have a ton of online sales routes: my own website, etsy store, facebook & instagram shop, google business page, and Spring merch store. These are easy as most all of my items are digital goods. However I'll be launching physical products under Samcraft very soon and will then begin the logistical "fun" of managing and fulfilling orders for several platforms too.

      @@Samcraftcom Thank you. You always come through. I'm in the process of buying a Laser Pecker 3 with all the accessories lighty used for a steal. I plan on starting with "dog tags" and tumblers. I'm looking forward to see how you deal with the changes.👍🏻

    I would like to engrave logos onto water bottles :/

      Yeah this is a cool little laser, but not powerful enough for the more common things people think of or expect with laser engravers.

    Thanks again for the file! Which Lazer would you recommend for a small business such as yourself? Assuming you're using it very frequently, doing batches and the like. One that can do steel as well as wood/leather/plastic. Take care!

    Great review, nice results but overlooked the ‘does not engrave on white’ wich explains the plug-result. The price in The Netherlands (about 450€) is too steep for me. I would like to have something like this in my small wood hobby shop, leave my mark on all my makings. Being patient is my burden for the time being.

    For added safety I would keep it in a small room with a safety warning on the door. Remember, these can instantly blind someone if that beam gets anywhere near their eyes.

    What a boo-boo mucker at 20:50 after telling us at 15:50 suppose its new to you! I'd make the same mistake too only to feel stupid being told what I already known. The machine looks like a little hobbie machine for a teen as a trail before commiting to spend more. Great in depth video. Well done hi.
