IN HD! 1982 Honda Ncz50b Motocompo folding scooter. Originally made to go in the back of a Honda City. SOLD!! GONE! Check out my channel for other sweet mopeds and stuff.
In the commercial, a family of 4 drives up in a Civic hatchback/Fit. Camera is directly behind the car. Parents get the Motocompo out of the back, and the teenage kid starts setting it up. Younger kid picks up the skateboard and cruises around in circles waiting for the older kid to get done. Motocompo is set up and the teenager takes off left just as younger kid passes going right. Camera goes up over the back of the car and we see the parents leaning back on the front of the car. Kids converge on the road ahead in a symmetrical shot and the white Honda logo appears at center, just above the horizon.
@@alexfitzpatrick2509 electric ones so you can take em on planes and not having to rent a car at your destination however, they don't allow batteries up to a certain limit (I forgot)
The sailing community would be instant clients, judging by the huge amount of expensive folding bikes they purchase every year.. Beautiful little red monster!
It is designed to fold up and fit inside the trunk of the Honda City, which was specifically designed to carry it. You could purchase a Honda City new with the Motocompo
Haha beautiful, man. My local motorcycle shop has one of these up on top of one of their display racks as a prop and I had a "fangirl" moment when I saw it. Had to come watch some vids of them in action. I *WILL* have one of these one day.
Such a nifty idea! If you had a Honda City or a Today in the 80s, this little guy could save you if you're ever caught in a traffic jam, just park your car somewhere, pop the trunk, whip out this bad boy, lock up your car, unfold, start it up and zip away! 50cc ain't much but it sure as hell can do the trick
I used to Ride toy ICE bikes & Vehicles at the Department Store parks in Japan. every Department store USED to have an Outdoor KIDS park on the top floor of the Building. it was a Fenced in area, offering Panoramic views and has a "Bullet Train " Ride as well as GAS operated kids vehicles .
Aoshima (a manufacturer of plastic model kits), still makes a 1/12th scale kit of the 1981 Honda Motocompo. Building up the kit will help you familiarize yourself with the bike, as you wait for a clean example to come to market. Should make a nice pit bike or project bike.
A beginners bike that you will outgrow in a day. The bug will bite you and you'll be looking for something bigger. A way to reel in non enthusiasts that aren't completely comfortable with the standard look of a motorcycle. Or a great commuter for tight traffic situations. Honda knows what they are doing. I'd like to have one in the trunk of my car for use in emergency situations.
so what do you do with the part you took lefts on the floor, putt in your backpack or leave it there, if its formidable it should be there at all times
Imagine if they made an offroad version of that. Where you can no longer drive in your car, you pop the trunk and pull out your bike. They'd have to make the wheels retractable somehow but it would sell like hot cakes.
What is the keyring like thing that comes out from the side meant for? You pulled it out at 0:13 and its attached with 2 cables, thanks in advance for your reply
@@86spirit60 Iv'e read that in Japan there are low levels of theft, so that makes sense. If you don't chain the thing down with at least 2 locks, it would surely be gone in most European mayor cities.
Lovely Motocompo! I'm a big fan of these little mopeds, one day I'm gonna lose my head and buy one. Just a question: What is that cable you're pulling at 0:12?
If only I could love people the way I love this bike.
Why don't they make these any more!?!?!
They look like so much fun!
Cast with homes delves jk sringar India

I just simply love the concept of this little moped :D
Well damn, All respect to Honda for making such a wild little Beast.
That first top piece he removed should be a skateboard.

Daniel Shwile lol, I was probably stoned. I can’t believe I seen this six years ago. Seems like yesterday I watched it.

I first thought Lincoln Electric welder with an ride-on feature.
It's looks so simple and fun to ride, i love it
Why cant they make new ones that will be with a lighter and stronger engine
+Abdulrahman Al Marzouqi And make it electric.

Good old honda reminds me of the early 80s damn near everyone in America that rides today that isn't 80 years old started on a Honda
Fun fact. Honda started selling their motorcycles in America on the back of Chevy trucks. Literally delivered them on Chevy trucks..

This is literally perfect for going to work and not wanting a clown to steal it so you just bring it inside

When Honda was freaking awesome
THAT'S cute :3 It looks like a kid moped. :D
Finally I don't have to decide between a coffee table or moped .
I’d love to see these rebooted as an electric moped.
That would be awesome and they wouldn't smell like lawnmovers which would be a great advantage.
Sweet mother of God ...
Ha I said the same thing when I first laid eyes on these.

so what do you do with the part you took lefts on the floor, putt in your backpack or leave it there, if its formidable it should be there at all times
It folds up and snaps in front of the seat I did not put it on in the video because the lock was froze up and it was hard to take on and off.

I love the Ducati rear wheel
cool I want the same :)

Johannes Petermann I'm not totally sure all motocompos have them.
It's actually part of a built security for your helmet or the motocompo even. It is the original purpose for that wire comes out on the front clip.

Nice!
What's the ring deal you pulled out at the start of the vid?
I have no idea to tell the truth maybe some sort of lock?
Kool, where can I find one of these
Why does the back wheel keep turning while the bike is parked? Someone please tell me why. Does this model have constant accel?
it's idling too high so the clutch is engaging and spinning the wheel

Who knows Im guessing its some kind of lock. Yea now that these are gone I find myself wanting another one.
