  • This trigonometry video tutorial provides a basic introduction into the unit circle. It explains how to evaluate trigonometric functions such as sine and cosine using the circle regardless if the angle is in radians or degrees. You can find the exact value of a trigonometric function if you have access to the unit circle.

    Question, is the unit circle not much about solving but rather memorizing?

    • @ellaconsole8491
      @ellaconsole8491 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      yea its mainly just memorizing but the angles go in increments of 30 and 45 degrees so just remember the basic angles like 180, 270, 90, and 360/0 and then just go from there!

    So we know, for example, root3/2 and 1/2 is the coordinate at 30° using a 30, 60, 90 triangle. In that right triangle, however, the hypotenuse is 2 while the radius in our unit circle is 1. Can you help me understand? Is it just by proportion that our coordinates make sense? What am I missing?

    Umm how about if it's not like "just those numbers" like Sin(75) or anything that is not coterminal on 30 , 45 and 60.
    Im just curious 😅

      Remember the base its still sin from x axis and the y axis is cosine ,but if u use on the number just switch for example the sin is on the first rownbecause always first is sin because its x ,but if u choose them (1/2, 2/3) sin here is in the second row which is 2/3 then the cosine which is Y axis u choose 1/2 which in reality that is for X value just switch the choice of number but in base axis they are still sin is x axis and the y is cosine axis .hope this can help

    • @mariadelmarcaparos2324
      @mariadelmarcaparos2324 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Sin x axis always the second option of coordinates
      (y -value)
      Cosine y axis always at first option number (x-value)
