  • Apparently, I haven't been keeping up with some of the newer electrical tools that have come to market in recent years. The Combo Tip Drivers from Klein have been on the market for 8 years now! I'm glad I finally noticed them, because these are the best screwdriver tips for electrical work.

I just learned about these like 3 months ago. I still need to get one. Thanks for the reminder.

Klein Tools needs to make Slim Insulated Combo-Tip Screwdrivers 🪛! Because this Combo-Tip is specifically designed for electrical ⚡ applications, and that's the market Klein caters to.

Didn’t know about these. Also didn’t realize that my Klein 15 in 1 had these bits. Thx for sharing. Learned a lot with this vid. Watching from Ontario Canada 😊

The breaker accepts the Milwaukee ECX #2 perfect, and I’ve used the Klein #2 with no issues.

Been an electrician for decades and used the ECX type screwdrivers for over a decade; in that time I’ve never found a version with the square at 90° instead of the 45° ECX. I like Wera screwdrivers and use their insulated stainless steel models, though they don’t have an ECX type in them but the stainless hold up better than any other screwdriver I’ve ever had, including Klein. The supply stores we use also weren’t aware of a 90° version of the ECX type fastener, which sucks because we use Square-D near exclusively and while their breakers all have EXC

Just picked one up using your affiliate link! As a home inspector it's a pain to take the covers of electrical panels off with a flat head screwdriver, this will help one of the most annoying things about my job. Thank you for the product recommendation and also thanks for all the work you put into your channel!

I have the Milwaukee ECX and to me, they sit deeper in the hole. I just got the Kleins and noticed that because the square is tall they don't sit down far enough to actually engage the wings. It feels like a design flaw but I was curious to know your thoughts. As far as the 90-degree rotated head. I think they may have turned those so that a Phillips will not work at all so the lugs actually get tightened properly without camming out or stripping the screw. They are trying to force you to use something that will have much better positive engagement.
