Robert de Niro plays fingerstyle!! Sorry, couldn't resist. Anyway, I've just got one of these from ebay, A1 condition but desperately needing new strings. Beautifully constructed and hope my lame set-up and even worse playing can do it justice. Informative video, thanks.
I just purchased a Grand Concert SA model.. After watching you in action with the Synth hookup makes me want to go out and get the setup.. Great playing Andy! Thanks for the video...
Cheers m8! All the very best with your new guitar! you'll have a great time trying different string brands and tensions till you find your sound!..keep playing! Andy.
String brands with tensions??? HUMM! Never thought of that... All I know is I wish I could play as good as you do!! You should do a video on that subject (String Tentions/Brands) , I don't think Ive ever seen anything on youtube about that subject.. Would be interesting to know more.. Thanks Andy!
cheers m8! thanks for watching..That's a cool idea! nylon strings differ so much and for me, make a huge difference to the godin depending on which brand and tension you use. Will work on it! anything I can help with, just give me a shout! Andy.
thanks for watching m8! I got mine years ago and have played the backside out of it..it just keeps sounding better..I would never get rid of mine either..fantastic guitar...all the best...andy.
What is the nut width of that Godin? I have the Godin Slim Line SA and the nut width is too narrow for finger style. My Godin’s nut width is 1 11/16 - too narrow. Great playing!
hi terry! thanks for watching...mine is the multiac sa nylon model, had it more than 15 years now. the nut is about 1 7/8...you are so right, it's not easy to play finger style on due to the closeness of the strings and to pick out each string at the right time!!! I can only say that I have been playing for about 50 years now, so I try to do my best..I also play fingerstyle on my 335 so that helps a little too. thanks again for watching and give me a shout if I can help with anything...andy.
hi oleg! thanks for watching...i am using a roland gr20 guitar synth which plugs directly into the godin..i have it on the strings section but it took a little adjustment so the strings don't oerwhelm the sound of the guitar..hope ths is of use to you.....thanks for watching...andy.
I made the leap and bought a Godin AC w/ Roland GR20 synth ! Wonderful combo ! Beautiful playing sir
hi Rodolfo! thans for watching and for your kind comments! best wishes on your voyage with the Gr20! and keep playing my friend..........andy.

That one he has is the grand concert i believe and it has the normal width of a traditional classical guitar
Esse tem mais som de violão do que o maciço
