Extra nice video Paul love to see you work. Also great shout out to Philip Barbosa and to David Smith and I'm humbled to see some of my work in your video 😅
Hi Paul great to see you back u have been missed by all I’m sure …quick question if possible can u please let me know what grade and make of vinyl is used also the grade of sandblast material and pressure it’s calibrated at thanks again Paul
Very informative as always. Good pointers on the old mirror backing paint. I have ruined a couple projects removing tape from the back and peeling up the paint and scaring the mirror. Great move to hit it with clear to add a solid layer. I could have saved 2 projects if I would have known this 🤦♂️. Your videos are priceless to me!!! Keep em coming dude 🤙
Nice post ... an old trick for airbrush artist laying vinyl over a airbrush painted surface was to tak the vinyl and slap/press it against your pant leg. It will reduce the amount of adhesive and then do burnish the vinyl down just gently rub it. ... Just a thought. ... Every time you repeat the placing the sheet on your pant leg with increase the loss of adhesion..
I bought my partner and her sister a trip to England plus paid for class with Joby's sign course on Fairground / Circus themes before the holidays. I did sign her up for Steve's internet class also. I had hoped you could meet up, but your were doing the house up at the time. Sorry. At my age and those old war wounds, just let can't handle a 20 & hour flight any more...be safe.@@happygilder
@@happygilder Does it also work well as a backing paint? And regarding backing paint, is backing paint even necessary if the entire sign is already painted solid with 1-shot?
I'm not a member of the travelling community if that's what you mean. If you're talking about travelling in general, I've seen a fair bit of the world :)
@@happygilder Thank you for the answer. Seeing the several square and compasses, I thought of the possibility of you being a Masonic brother. I am going to miss the channel
Your videos are not only informative but extremely well produced.
Thanks very much! 😀🙏
Great design for a great Fraternity, made all the better with your work.

That's a really nice variation of chipping styles on the one piece Paul. 👍👍💛 Also a great tip about the clear varnish.

I search 'self adhesive vinyl roll' on ebay and buy whatever is cheapest. For blasting I use 120 grit Aluminium Oxide at 30-40 psi

Beautiful! Does that 1-shot clear paint also work for applying glitter as in some of your other videos?
It does indeed :)

What software are you using. Also its amazing to have you back! Cant wait to see more
Thanks! I use Photoshop to make my designs and Vinylmaster LTR to cut the vinyl

Jam jars were invented to drop your paintbrush into along with turps lol
That’s all well and good if you’ve got a jam jar 😂
