Chicago is where I was born and raised. I have my whole family in which I miss them dearly. I have many friends and miss them. My mom took me all over we went shopping at all the stores downtown, river oaks, South Chicago she was the greatest. Sears Tower, Wrigley Building, Marshall Fields, Lake Shore Drive, The EL, Chicago Skyline. I will never forget Chicago. Gloria Louise
Down here retired in the Ozarks of S/W Missouri enjoying a can of Old Style beer waiting for the Chicago Bears game to start today at noon, 9/21/2020. I miss my old sweet hometown of Chicago. Will visit soon. GO BEARS !!!
Visited Chicago -from Melbourne, Australia, - five times ; my life long affection for the great city of Chicago is such (that) I get emotional thinking about it. Americas greatest city, of a country with many fine city's. And thank you, too, Frankie !
@Richard Schiffman ; couldn't tell ya', I've never thought of it as a rivalry (I acknowledge some think of it as a rivalry). Have much affection for Sydney, stunning city. I'm musing (that) you're from Sydney ??
Beutiful i remenber when we went with my mom, Little brother and grandmom,in th80s we went to the Sears tower ,we have family there! And the beach and zoo and the musean 🤩😍🥰😘 Just like 🗽🏙️i live in New Jearsy 🌆
I love this video I was born and raised in Chicago It is my home town though I have been away since 1983 I MISS IT!I used to live in Wrigleyville across the street from Wrigly Field and I'm still a diehard Cubs and Bears fan.Iived there from 1962(When I was born)until 1972 when I moved to Cicero I now live in Tennessee but I prefer CHICAGO THE GREATEST CITY IN THE WORLD!!!!!
I love Chicago so much that when I hear this song I almost start crying. The first time I listened to it was on the United Center before a Bulls game, I cried like hell that time.
@RyanGrant9400 I'm not going to argue sports, perhaps Chicago edges NYC in sports, but in terms of food, NYC is known for an enormous range of ethnic eateries, whether it be a Jewish deli in the Lower East Side, a Polish Restaurant in Greenpoint, Italian in the Bronx, Chinese in China Town, Indian in Jackson Heights, Arab or Afghan in Astoria, Turkish in Sunnyside, Russian in Brighton Beach or a fancy French or Japanese place in the upper Eastside. The range is as limitless as the world.
@RyanGrant9400 We do have a chaotic skyline, but that in itself has a certain allure and beauty, because the chaotic skyline of the city is a testimony to the history of our great city. It is a layered city that dates back to the 1600's. It grew from Wall Street up, layer after layer. Each layer is like the ring of a great Sequoia tree with its own tale. That adds mystique and appeal to the city.
We only consider 2 places in the US a city New York and Chicago nothing else but the difference is Chicago is cleaner by far even the river than New York and we walked from 12midnight to 2am and no one bothers and rob us not like in NY.
@RyanGrant9400 I give Chicago 3 edges over NYC, it's cleaner & the people are friendlier. It's also a more laid back city, but in terms of aesthetics, NYC has the edge. Obviously, NYC also has slums, but if you go to the nice areas like Brooklyn Heights, the Village, Fifth Ave, Central Park, etc.. very few cities can compare. Also don't forget, we have some of the most iconic buildings in the entire country: Empire State Building, Chrysler Building, Rockefeller Center, Statue of Liberty, etc..
NYC has more billionaires being the financial hub of the world but Chicagoans and Midwesterners in general are more straightforward, helpful, and honest
They show a lot of photos of Marshall Field's Stste Street Store....now sadly macy*s on State Street. All macy*s had to do was call it---Marshall Field's a macy*s Store...think of the money they would have been raking in!!! Many visitors are confused by the signage on the outside of the building due to the Historic Bronze Plawues on each corner of the Building and above the Main Entrance which say..."MARSHALL FIELD AND COMPANY ". At least macy*s kept much of the Beautiful Architecture of the Main Floor and the 116 Year Old Seventh Floor "Walnut Room" Restaurant which still looks stunning. .especially at the Christmas Season.
@Rayarena In terms of aesthetics, Chicago has the upper hand by quite a bit. In terms of size, NYC. In terms of everything else, from food to sports to people to cleanliness, I say Chicago is clearly better. I pity the people who never got to witness a MJ game in Chicago, or now a Rose game in Chicago. It's an experience like no other.
@Rayarena Sports and food beat NYC also. Sports is well a fact, Chicago being arguably the best sports city. Food is a preference, but I mean Chicago hosts the Taste of Chicago, which should say enough. In terms of aesthetics, skyline pictures clearly show how an organized skyline such as Chicago's trumps a chaotic skyline such as NYC's. It is the original skyline. Iconic buildings (statues don't count) don't say much. Like I said, publicity doesn't mean much, ie the Cowboys are "America's" team
@RyanGrant9400 You pity people who have never witnessed a MJ or Rose game in Chicago, I pity people who have never gone for brunch at Soho followed by an afternoon walk and visit to the art galleries in the area, or people who have never gone for a crisp autumn walk in Central Park as the leaves change color. I pity people who have never walked down Museum mile and walked into the Museum of Modern Art considered one of the five greatest art museums in the world, or the Frick Collection, etc..
@Rayarena I actually pity people who like to troll city videos on TH-cam. You love NY? Fine. Good for you. Go sing your NY songs on those videos and let us enjoy videos of our city.
Chicago Needs To Make A Ferris Bueller's Day Of Beauty Salon For My Future Wife Kiya As Edie McClurg Jr And Mrs Iron Man And Little Edie Will Walk Out As Grace The Secretary
Nice pictures, but it still looks like a cheap third rate version of NYC. Start spreading the news I am leaving today I want to be a part of it New York, New York These vagabond shoes They are longing to stray Right through the very heart of it New York, New York I want to wake up in that city That doesn't sleep And find I'm king of the hill Top of the heap My little town blues They are melting away I gonna make a brand new start of it In old New York!!!
Born and raised in this beautiful city. No matter all the ups and down, Chicago is simply the best.
I moved out of Chicago 10 months ago and it still hurts 😢 what a city ❤
I've never been, what makes it so special?

There are still many Italians living in the Bronx, especially in the north of the borough and in and around City Island.

I get the impression Frank didn't like signing "Downtown" "Yeeuu...Downtown!"

Mr Burns took Homer for a pizza to Chicago but the song was sung by someone else 😁
you're right, not your right, your right would be, it's the door on your right... do they speak English in Chicago?
