Much appreciated! Thanks you for all the kind words (from your other comment too). It’s been a lot of fun creating so far and I’m looking forward to see where it goes.
Thank you so much for this review!! I watched your first video and left a comment to ask for a follow up and then went to your videos and saw this!! Definitely looking forward for the 6 months review!!! This is excellent! Thanks❤
you're welcome. thanks for watching! i just saw your other comment. for sure, that's one i'll definitely make; most likely going to be a 6 month and then a 1 year review as well. 3 months in and i still love it.
I just bought one of these - I tried to find reviews and yours was one of only a few. I have a slightly different use case, since I have a bed and this will just be for guests to sleep on. I downsized from a large sectional. The additional space makes my apartment feel much more spacious. I bought the premium fabric and ottoman and they look great. Maybe my one worry right now is whether using it primarily as a sofa will cause a frontward "slouch" over time, since there is less structural support in the front - there is just cushion where other sofas might have a frame. But very comfortable, and as you say, there's a generous trial period to keep an eye on this.
love hearing that, and i totally agree with the space saving aspect. as for the frontward "slouch," i haven't noticed this yet and i'm 3 months in with everyday use as a bed and sofa. that being said, i really do think sleeping on it helps keeps the sofa looking good; somewhat brings it back to life by the morning. so if you're seeing a dip or some material bunching on the areas where you sit most, pull it out as a bed and maybe just walk around on the mattress (if people don't sleep on it often). i also always rotate which side i sit on to keep it even that way too. but completely agree with you about the trail period too, 4 months is a long time to test it out and make sure it's something you love.
These 2 videos were so helpful! Thinking about getting this for my office (flexible guest room). Appreciate all the insight and especially the follow up.
Thank You, I'm considering this for a secondary RV bed and it really seems to hit on a lot of the challenges you face trying to find a good RV sofa bed.

I don’t have another update video, but it’s been 5 months and it’s still working out great for a sofa and bed. But happy to give you any insights. What worries you for durability, can you provide more context?
@@gracefavarro You're welcome! Alright apologies for the long winded answer but want to make sure I give you an honest/detailed update on where I'm at with it currently. Yes, the crease holding up over time is something I'm still curious about too. I do plan on making a 6 month or so update video in the new year. The short answer: I've noticed the dip getting worse. As for your back support question, I can't really speak to that because I'm a side sleeper but a back sleeper has commented saying that it did cause them discomfort in that position. I’ve also read that some people have put a mattress topper when in bed form and that helps. Although I'm still sleeping well through the night, I'm not sure how this will hold up over time. I'm doing these review videos in real time from my experience since there aren't any other reviews that have gone into detail about using it as a full time bed. It's definitely hard to give people exact answers because it really depends on so many factors, such as height, weight, sleeping position, whether they're using it as a guest bed (which I assume most are) or full time use like me, etc. Specifically relating to the crease, all of those factors I mentioned can affect people differently on where the crease hits them on their body and how quickly you'll see wear. The best thing is to use is the 120 day trial to fully test it out yourself for your body/sleeping style. That being said, make sure you're going into this with proper expectations because at the end of the day this is a sofa bed (not a regular bed), and I knew that going into it when I initially purchased; I think the space saving element intrigued me the most. Based on where I'm at currently, I can say this is great as a sofa and guest bed (as that is what it is intended for), but time will only tell as a full time bed. My plan was/is to eventually go back to a traditional bed, especially when I start dating again (for reasons that should be somewhat obvious when dating), but I liked the idea of even when I go back to a normal bed that I have this in the small apartment so I can have friends stay with me if needed. This is something I'll definitely speak to for the 6-ish month review. Happy to answer any other questions you have if you think of something else.
I have a quick question. The website lists the seat height of the sofa as 19 inches, but mine is barely 15 inches. I was wondering if mine might be defective, or if you’ve noticed the same issue with yours?
I’m seriously considering buying one of the koala sofa sleeper chairs. I saw someone say that the seat leans a bit forward when it’s in the seat form. Can you speak to that?
That’s not something I’ve noticed. The only thing I’ve noticed between the two that I have, the 70 and 46 both in Paperbark Gray, is that the 46’s mattress is softer so you sink in a little more; I haven’t slept on that one yet. I would say both have you sitting pretty upright with your back slightly tilted back. I typically gravitate towards the 70 when I’m going to be sitting for a while.
Thanks for the review! I’ve been back and forth trying to decide whether to buy it. Quick question- when in sofa mode, does the mattress/seat start to edge forward and separate from the back rest (given that it’s two parts) ?
you’re welcome! and no, it doesn’t slide forward when in sofa mode. it has enough weight to it, and the velcro for the bottom section (attached to the base) also helps keep it from moving.
you’re welcome! i don’t think you have to worry about the crease as much because it has a different support structure then this one, but not able to speak to that since i haven’t owned it/used it. check this video out though because this guy does review the byron and he goes through some of those things: th-cam.com/video/VBUrf16mcKk/w-d-xo.htmlsi=21DwA_lAA31druLf
I was just wondering if there was gonna be a follow up to your last video and just found out you made this! I’m couch shopping currently so this was helpful. I noticed Koala now has another sofa that is a little bit different/wider that I might consider.
glad i could help! i'm going to keep making these to show how it's holding up; the next one will probably be a 6 month review. were you looking at the byron? if so, I dropped the link to a review for that below by another guy. this is the one i watched that helped me make my decision for the one i have now. th-cam.com/video/VBUrf16mcKk/w-d-xo.html
@@mcca555 appreciate that. and yes the price is higher than some ikea sofa beds, but i believe this is better quality in comparison. personally, i also think this looks much better than the ikea sofa beds but I know that can differ based on personal preference/styles. is there a particular ikea sofa you have purchased/tested out for awhile that you like or are you just going off of price alone? example being that i have slept on the ikea FRIHETEN (about $900) for a few nights at an airbnb and it was fine for that, but as a full-time bed i would hate it.

@flonought Thanks for taking the time to answer. I have one more question. I'm torn between the 70-inch and the 64-inch sofas and can't decide. I'm 6 feet tall like you, and this will be my office sofa, which I’ll use for sitting, laying down, and sleeping-mostly on my own but sometimes with my girlfriend. The wall behind the couch is 90 inches, so with the 70-inch sofa, I’ll have 10 inches on each side for a slim table or plant, and 13 inches on each side with the 64-inch sofa. I’m looking for another perspective to help me make a final decision. Thanks again.
@@ehabali239 anytime. and i would go with the 70” especially if you’re my height. anything less i feel like would be too small. at this width i have taken a nap semi-curled up on the sofa (without turning into a bed) and it was still pretty comfortable.

i think it would hold up well, but that’s also coming from someone who doesn’t have pets; i grew up with pets (dogs) my whole life, i just haven’t had any living with me in my apartments. some pets are also more harsh on furniture then others depending on what they are, their size, and their nail length. i would hit up koala through the chat on their website and ask them which of their fabrics, the standard or the luxe, is better for pets. the standard may be the more durable option between the two, based on the descriptions on their website. their customer support is pretty quick to respond, and they definitely helped me out with my questions before i bought my sofa.
