A man hopes to single-handedly resurrect a sleep town with a colorful past into a tourist destination. He's rehabilitating several historic buildings and the reputation of Canon City, Colo.

Kind of a fun little town. White water rafting, mountain biking, lots of fun dinasour stuiff and a great microbrewery. Just don't drink the water.

2 years ago when travel restrictions were lifted from Covid, I drove from Pittsburgh, PA to Crested Butte, CO. I took 50 and stopped off and did all the touristy things. Anyways, I’m glad I did and would’ve loved to have grown up here.

I truly hope he succeeds. Lived there for many years and the reciprocity in that town is nonexistent. Like your business one month then abandons the business the next. Loved the town and hated the fear and scarcity mindset. Poor minded

It was filmed in several different towns. Two of them being Ridgeway and Canon City. Some of the buildings from Buckskin Joe Old west town just west of Canon City were used in the film.

I know for a fact that it was filmed in parts of Fremomt County. Not only did they use the St. Cloud hotel for movie stars to stay at, but they also stayed at the Ramada Inn (now called something different) where my mom was a housekeeper. She cleaned the rooms of John Wayne, Goldie Hawn, Tom Selleck and many other stars who were filming numerous movies in the area back in the day.

I used to live there long ago. Went to middle school and a couple weeks of high school there. Go Tigers haha! My nephew Tommy G still lives there with his grandma Cherrol. I remember hearing about the KKK digging tunnels under the schools and there once was a brick in the high schools wall that was inscribed with a big "KKK" Not even joking...
