- Cañon City, Colorado may be best known for the Royal Gorge Mountain Park nearby, but don't miss this unique scenic drive on the outskirts of town with scenic vistas and sheer drop-offs on either side of the road! Skyline Drive is not to be missed if you happen to be in the area, located in the Hogback Open Space Recreation Area.

I did this last month and I had no idea what I was in for - never had such sweaty palms in my life, I skydive and ride motocross so not afraid of most challenges but this is special, lol
I knew what to expect, but I still had sweaty palms! Scenic drive, but hard to enjoy, LOL.

that is awesome, great views from that drive, I'd totally do that. The weather looked intense on the left there towards the end.
It was a fun ride! Yeah, we seemed to get that weather at least once every day while we were out there. We got hit by a strong storm right after driving this too!

I live in Indianapolis, plan on going here over Memorial Day weekend. Amazed at how everytime i look for something to do, i find a video with the two of you at the same location. I saw your Paint Mines video, the Garden of the Gods, CO video, etc... The first video i saw of yours was the DePauw Nature Park, been there twice now. Thanks for doing these!!! I have a small car, nice to see the terrain you have to drive beforehand!!
Haha, we get around! That's how we find a lot of our destinations too, start looking for things to do in certain areas on Google and on TH-cam, always find something! Enjoy your Memorial Day Weekend trip!
That road is INSANE! Not the place you want to blow a tire 😲. Epic views though. We drove through Wyoming once. No guardrails at night with huge drop offs on either side.
I love those kind of drives! They are a little unnerving, but it's a thrill like no other.

Right, and that ridge runs for many miles beyond what we did! It was definitely freaky. Not the highest scenic drive we've done, but possibly the narrowest!

It's pretty intense! Fortunately it is a one way road, so no traffic coming the other way. But that also means you can't chicken out and turn back around!
I didn't know what it was and drove up it ..... Never. Again!!!!!! Once you drive up, there's no turning back. I didn't know anything about it. Holy shit. Thought I was going to die!!!
I did “old stage coach rd” and we were all terrified. And it was a TWO way dirt road w NO turn around until we reached our destination. Then , honestly the best trail ride I’ve ever had.. until guide told us about the cougar w head the size of large basketball that was eating his animals
