Well that's my childhood ripped apart...
I remember as a kid being stuck on Detention Center for like a year or a year and a half. I just didn't figure out where to go. Getting stuck like that isn't part of gaming any more..
Hollow Knight definitely has that if you're looking for an amazing modern game aimed at old school exploration.
@@pon3d120 That's not a great sell for me, to be honest.. I don't remember it fondly. I have Hollow Knight though, I'll get around to completing it some day.

I'm a little surprised they didn't mention how a lot of the sound effects from this game (jumping, enemies taking damage, switching weapons) were recycled for Shadows of the Empire on N64.
And quite a few of the graphics as well now that I'm looking at them.

manwiththemachinegun yeah disney can't decide what canon is. They inherited star wars' greatness but fans built it.

OH MY GOD I USED TO WATCH MY BROTHER PLAY THIS GAME BUT OUR DISK WAS MESSED UP AND COULDN'T GET PAST GROMA'S MINES. Course I've gotten it on steam and beaten it a few times now but holy crap I love this game.

Dark Troopers, are back in Canon!
Blown away by level 3. What took you less than a minute to tackle took most people hours to figure out back in the day. I quit on that level so many times growing up.

Played this game a long time ago, played it over and over some times in the past, played it just today and thought "maybe there is a speedrun to it"... What the ****? There is something like nadejumping with explosions?!?!?! Man, i am feeling dumb right now ^^

I think I never got further than level 2 or 3 playing this back in the day. Just like Terminator Future Shock. Games were hard and I was young!

I never finished Jedi Knight 2 because I got annoyed how the architecture doesn't make any sense. This game is even worse.
It's called good level design.. These games had some of the best, Jedi Outcast in particular. Doesn't have to make complete sense as long as it's fun, and makes for good balanced gameplay.
GMMReviews I like when makes some sense and it is fun. It really bugs me when it's just randon mazes. Specially in a game like Star Wars that is more sci-fi than Doom or Quake.
Star Wars is as much of a sci-fi franchise as Hercules & Xena.
