there a 3 types of caleb:
1) Stay open,get rewarded when X is open
2) X is open, but want to play Y for fun
3) If you're playing every color,you're in all the open lanes

Caleb you are truly capable of dreaming unlike any other vintage cube player i've seen. What even was happening here and ... how???? Felt like i was witnessing some new plane of existence as i watched this.
i saw the turn at 28 minutes and I figured that must have been the greatest turn, but then I saw the turn at 38 minutes, and now I have no idea what to expect!

I just played one of the craziest games of my life. It was top deck after top deck for both of us. I was dead next turn and draw atraxa, play it, get narset, cryptic command, time twister, phyrexian revoker, sol ring and land. play sol ring, then revoker naming nissa who was on the battlefield. his next turn I cryptic command tapping all his creatures and drawing a card which is a land. he plays eternal witness grabbing pest infestation blowing up my mox diamond, sol ring, revoker and basalt monolith. he has a billion creatures and possibly craterhoof in his hand so I'm back hoping I draw something good as all I have is atraxa and he has 8 life and I have 4. draw land shit. play narset and get brainstorm and then draw into time warp. dude insta scoops. played time twister as well and got time warp again but it didnt matter.

Punted R3 you should have held up Ulamog to sneak in their turn to block Etali, then the following turn play ultimatum with R open for Sneak again
It makes sense they took tithe if they added ultimatums. It will save a few players the frustration. Imagine topdecking ultimatum against plains and 1 card in hand with just ultimatum mana available...

1st match was just bonkers, I wouldn't have guessed that deck had that much potential.
You have a beautiful mind, 5 color time walk ultimatum wheel storm was not a deck I would have remotely considered if I drafted 500 times

It's one of my least played colour combos so hopefully I'll run into a Janky situation where I fall in love with it like I have with most other colour combos.
With respect, "magic is designed for one person to have fun" is a strange lens to look at vintage cube through. Many if not most of the cards in this format are banned for being overpowered. or, unfun.
Unfun for whom though. What he’s saying is that one person is having all the fun. The other person, not so much.
When I’m doing the broken thing, when it feels like I’m getting away with some filthy nonsense, I tell you what, it’s pretty fun.
Edit: Actually in context I see what you’re saying. As a general statement this is only less and less true as time goes on and they focus more on the overall player experience. Using Vintage Cube as a demonstration that it’s designed to be one sided fun-wise is pretty skewed.
At 35:00 minutes your turn could have been sequenced better. You have 4 lands that tap for 8 mana. You tap all of them, play Omnath, play the Bayou, Trigger Omnath first Landfall. Tap the Bayou for double green, play Primeval Titan, trigger Second and Third Landfall on Omnath. This gives you WURG. which you use to cast Regrowth into Timewalk
That lets you win with the Glorybringer after your wheel on the next turn, cause Omnath can attack (4+4+2+2+6 = 18)

I had a lot of success with aristocrats so a little sad they removed that but it didn't seem that popular overall...
Question,did they cut thithe because they thought it was too strong or too weak? I agree with you it's an amazing card,you've showed it in multiple occasion,but it seem not strong enough to get cut,so the more logical explanation is that they thought it was too weak. Wich is funny
First off they wanted a slot for Reprieve. Mana Tithe is the other tempo counter in white so the swap makes aesthetic sense. Personally I said “why not both?” for my cube, but I can see wanting to just have one.
It wasn’t that Tithe was too good or too bad, just here’s something similar but different.

Why was Garruk free at 36:45 ?
Garruk untaps two lands as one of his abilities; wIth Mana Flare in play this ability allows him to pay for himself.

What is the oposite of clickbait ? Cause on top of the promissed crazy turn you also had an absolutelky bananas turn in game one where you played like 4 timewalks, sneak attacked ulamog, played a cruel ultimatum and so much other nonsense. Not gonna lie I thought that was the crazy turn you talked abou. tBig applause to both opponents for sticking around for this level of nonsense. I thinkj if you played already 2 timewalks and then start to do it again i am pretty much done, unless you do some cool shit in the mantime i want to see habbenin, and to be fair you did that both times. Btw you absolutelky did have lethal on board on your favorite turn with the zombies alone, each is a 2/2 after all, not a 1/1
