Folks are tired of record corporate profits with rising prices. At some point a good portion of any society will vote for radical change like price caps.

what is the detailed certifiable evidence for "price Gouging" ? We well know grocery prices are higher today than in 2020, but how much of this is due to "gouging" as indicated by genuine scientific economic research (and not mere partisan assertions)? And what is the accepted definition of "gouging" ?
Prices for many Grocery input factors remain elevated, especially for transportation and wages . The higher prices due to actual shortages have eased , but there are other inputs (not shortages) today that are legitimately higher than in 2020. People are paid more today not only in the groceries, but also in the firms that support the groceries. Those higher labor prices (one example) must be passed on to customers at some level.

I especially respect Alix Steel, Jon, Criti Gupta, Abigail Doolittle, Tom McKee, Bostic, Kane, and a few others.
On air personalities I am less impressed with include Lisa, Weisbrode, Guy Johnson, Somali Basilik, Matthews, Leinz, Holdern, and a few others.

This ain't a popularity contest mate. They are working at Bloomberg. Guy Johnson and Lisa have been there for ages so they must be doing their jobs well.Sonali is very good at what she does too. So you have no choice but to cry more I guess lol 😅

@@MojoMachin3 It ain't about popularity, mate.
It should be about at least fundamental competence, and interviews with serious practitioners.
Guy Johnson's and Matt Miller's pseudo expertise are a joke in poor taste.
Lisa is a pro at delivering echo-chamber pandering journalism to the NYC centric Hadassa audience .
These personalities are a net negative for the broadcasts as a whole.
We've been monitoring this outlet near daily for almost a decade, now.
There are good people there, ....and then, there are the rest. Jon is excellent. And Alix Steel is very good. Scarlet Fu usually always solid, but gradually her tech opinions are heavily derivative and superficial. Hyde and Ludlow are a train wreck. Comical.
As expert practitioner, Mohamed Al Arian, from PIMCO, is the real deal . As is Larry Sommers. Roger Altman is one voice I especially respect, as he was an adjunct instructor I studied with in the late 80s. But about 4 of 10 commentators, especially those still in the beginning phases of their careers, are often barely worth listening to.
      Have a nice day. 😃

2:13:33 no need to bring this person back on tk the show ever again. University of Michigan professor. Added no value or insight into anything. Just her personal opinions on things without any knowledge or experience.

I disagree and I'm not sure where you are coming from. Every guest they have on give their own opinions, other than the media people for the big banks they sometimes have on. Giving opinions are why they have guests on. She said more than most people they have on the program, including Yardeni, who just repeats unquantifiable opinions like "overstretched" and his dart throw of a S&P target.

When Jon is not there, I often turn to CNBC. Bloomberg has some excellent people, and some,....not so much. Matt Miller, for example, typically appears unwatchable.
