Rescued and Restored: Girl Rescued from ISIS Massacre Restored to Her Family

- In early June 2017, Dave Eubank and the FBR Iraq team helped rescue a young girl, Demoa, who was trapped by ISIS sniper fire. Over 150 civilians were shot by ISIS on that street from May 31 through June 2, including Demoa's mother. She hid next to her dead mother for three days before being rescued. This past fall, Dave and team were able to reunite with Demoa and members of her family. This video tells more of the story.
Mr. Ballen brought me here. But man, putting a face to the little girl from Mr. Ballen's story brought tears to my eyes. These guys that rescued her have balls of steel. We need more people like them.

Same here man. Some of those people in Iraq really needed and appreciated American soldiers. TH-cam comments’ sections like to blame everything on America though. I think it’s hard to say what would’ve happened if the USA only went to Afghanistan and not Iraq. I think when you have evil scum that butchers women and children it was bound to happen one way or another, whether America went there or not. Look at what Hamas is doing right now. The radical Muslim man is pure evil. People can point fingers at America all they want. I know who the real bad guys are.

Yup, just watched Mr. Ballen’s story of this. The moment I watched the actual footage, the part where they extracted the girl behind the tank... I cried so friggin’ hard... My daughter just stared at me... My daughter staring at me made it worse... She’s two and half... And now, watching the family thank these folks... Dude, this is just too much... I’m super stoked that she was rescued, but this absolutely broke my heart.

Yea smacked me like something else man… those people lost everything but their granddaughter thanks to the bravery of those men that day.
cant stop crying watching this story. Like she was in between dead bodies for 48 hours, shell shocked and look at her now, she is happy. Unbelievable.

Seeing the general in tears because of what happened to that girl and her family was rough. A man accustomed to violence and death but still feels the pain of others and isn't afraid to show the pain he feels is a true man.

Seeing Demoa happy got me crying, to think that tiny little girl was involved in a brutal massacre by ISIS and was left hiding among dead bodies including her mothers for 3 days, and came out looking happy and dancing is insane and one of the most powerful things ive ever seen

This is the most inspirational video to join the military I have ever seen. Respect to all the troops, you are angels among men.
This wasn't US Military, it was a volunteer group who set up this rescue mission. US aided by providing a smoke screen but the group did everything else.

@@zeusdarkgod7727 yes, I understand that. But when you are discharged you're acting as a civilian and what they are doing is insanely heroic and they deserve all the credit.

I'd imagine some of the scouts AKA the guys who are pulling wounded civilians off the front lines and document war crimes are former military but not all of them. The weapons they carry are pretty much exclusively for self defense and they rely mostly on the locals they work with for defense.
@@Phucketmcsucket yeah bro tanks are a well known "defense only weapon" this is not a volunteer rescue group. This is the Iraqi army and they picked up a navy seal and a couple others from a volunteer rescue group.

This is why war is hell. It rips precious bright lights from the world, and the ones it leaves behind are left more dim. Tears of joy that this one life was saved. Tears of sorrow for all of the many thousands that have been snuffed out.

I was born in Iraq in 2000 and fled when I was 8. Hearing Demoa's story really got my tears going. It took me back to all the horror I saw and heard about when I lived there. Bravo to those men for taking action because people like Demoa and myself only have them to thank for giving us a second chance at life!

Right hiding under her dead moms dress and there were 2 other kids with her, they were playing and running around and a sniper killed both of them … I couldn’t imagine having a normal life after that

The grandma (maternal) said without this little girl, what’s the purpose to go on living if I lost this girl …. I’m of Iraqi Christian lineage and I assure you the grandma was 100% sincere when she told a vision of a lingering dark cloud turned into something bright just as if someone,something jumped out. I agree with David, it was Jesus, there is no other explanation, ordered and influenced David Eubank to do what he did in saving the newly orphaned small girl.
Despite the endless and unconditional love by her aunt and grandmother, I don’t think they’ll object if Demoa s jto be adopted by a western level headed and qualified to parent couples with or without kids. I’ll be honest, I don’t think the aunt or grandmother have the financial means burdened by one tragedy after another, shattered heart into a million pieces to raise Demoa all by herself ! Don’t think she’d mind adoption as long as she’s assured Demoa to be raised by a good, well rounded and decent adoptive parents. The sooner, the better for Demoa !
People always ask " where are all the good men?" Well, they are fighting and giving up their lives for others or died trying. God bless these men
this put a knot in my throat. shout out to everyone who sacrificed their lives, time, money and livelihoods for wins like this. takes alot of guts to give up a peaceful life in the west just to go into the heart of chaos and give that chance of peace to someone else. its crazy to think that there are real life badasses out here in the world not just on tv.

Seeing the video of the firefight/rescue then seeing this. Man, this is just something else. I hope in my lifetime I can see us all come together, or maybe in this current world we can only hope to see these glimpses of pure humanity amongst the rubble. What a time.
