My favorite thing about Guy Sebastian is, year after year, he keeps getting better - and he was already an amazingly spectacular vocalist two decades ago. He's one of the greatest vocalists of our time

I had to send this one to Guy....Love all the praise you gave him....and love your 'real' enthusiasm for his talent. Interesting fact...This radio station in the early 'Guy' days refused to play him because he wasn't considered a 'real' musician as he had won a competition which was Australian Idol. It's not because he wasn't a real musician. He's a fantastic musician and he's really evolved over the years, but Triple J is an alternative radio station, and Guy's music was and still is mostly pop. It's not snobbery, they're just catering to their particular audience (which they have to do to keep their listeners). They still don't really play his music (except this song). They don't really play the Wiggles either in general, but the Wiggles found their way to Like a Version too.

Like a version has produced some of the best music ever to come out of Australia. Countless songs that (with respect to the artists who created the songs) are better than the originals.

Guy is amazing, he did a song called “Choir” in dedication to a friend and frequent band member who sadly took his life. He wanted to do a song that was upbeat. Do his live performance at the Aria’s where it won song of the year. Then do his alternate version he did as a duet with Australia’s Samantha Jade

Guy is not just a great singer, but he is the real deal when talking about your voice being an instrument. When you watch what he does with his mouth, face and throat when singing, to completely change the tone or pitch, mid-word sometimes. It's astonishing.

So much talent can be found in Triple J's Like a Version and the audio quality / mastering is incredible. It exceeds any recording I've heard in quality of vocals and instrumentals. When we play Like a Version at home on the television the whole family is captivated. Even my 5 yr old son.

The drum pad the percussionist is using is a Roland SPD-SX. It is a sample pad that you can import whatever sounds you want and assign them to a particular pad. There are just over 200 drum/percussion sounds already programmed into the unit, then you can add your own as well.. They retail for $750 U.S. dollars.

Chior is a must he wrote it for a band member who passed away unlike most songs of this type it is not a sad song but an uplifting one.
The irony of this is that Guy couldn't get played on Triple J ( not cool enough) hence his " who would of thought" comment. They don't deserve him. Best performance.

You should check out a lot of the like a version clips. Local and international artists perform an original and a cover. Matt Corby's brother and chains that you watched are both from like a version. The covers are hectic. You'd love them!
