"Hi Gaku, I’ve been following you since 2020. I also tried pursuing a creative career like you and once gave up, but looking at your journey has inspired me. Now, I’m truly serious about it and working to improve my productivity and mindset every day. I feel so lucky to have known about you since the time you had nothing. You’ve inspired me so much, and I believe there are many others out there like me who feel the same way. I hope you’ll continue to grow and get better every day. And so will I." Thank you so much ❣❣❣
Gaku, you are an absolute beast and this was such an interesting format to bring us into! A few thoughts as a longtime viewer: 1) I’ve worked on the agency / brand side as a copywriter / strategist for 15 years. I immediately resonated when you mentioned the mental and time tax of making sure everything is just right. This is not something many creatives are prepared for, and definitely is part of the equation for working at such high levels. 2) you really do be giving us the most in your videos, which we appreciate. To increase your output and hopefully decrease the load, those casual, lifestyle, and thoughts-focused videos like this one will be so great to watch! While your technical videos will still get huge hits, we fellow creatives really dig the casual hangs and hopefully will bring you life to switch it up. 3) after working in the creative field for 15 years, I finally left to do my own creative joy which is video. Seeing your output and burnout, I resonate with that. But THANK YOU for being the first creator I could look up to for showing me how fun video can be - not just for work, but for our own souls. As working creatives, we need that reminder. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 thank youuu, Gaku!!!
It's really crazy watching you go on a generational run in real time. Like you're actually a consistent example of the many hats you have to wear in the field you work in. Not only that but because you work in that run and gun style, you are laying out the blueprint for future photographers, videographers, editors and so on. I always liked that you referred to yourself as a modern day renaissance man because YOU REALLY ARE! Great video Gaku!
Gaku, you have been a top 3 creator for me this year and I have really adapted some of your style into the beginning of my creative journey. Been the biggest inspiration! Keep killin it!
I tried a lot of emulations but I stripped it back and I’ve been mainly just using a custom built node tree utilizing the built in film looks in Davinci. I’m debating whether or not to release some LUTs or do a Powergrade - any thoughts or advice? I want to start doing a few Davinci Color breakdowns on the YT channel as well
really nice to get into that deep dive Growth topic because of this you know exactly in what you want to spend more time in, what are you thankful of / have critics for the past year and what main goals you have for the next year 🤞🏻
What an incredible year Gaku! 🤝 really awesome to see the breakdown and how you handle yourself during the busy periods! Definitely need to take a page out of your book. Thank you for continuing to capture and showcase beautiful work - I can’t wait to see what you do in 2025!
LOVE THIS GAKU. this is gonna crazy but ur actually inspiring me to do 6 months in japan while pursuing creative projects after I graduate college so this came at the perfect time. okay time to watch the vid haha
Literally have this video idea on the timeline as we speak! Yearly recaps should be required for yourself to see if you need to scale up more or anything!!
hi, what camera would you recommend? I shoot videos on my phone and want to switch to a camera but I don't know which one to choose. There is a Sony a7s3, Sony zv-e1 or Sony a7c2. I want to not only shoot videos for Instagram but also take photos and shoot long videos for TH-cam. I would take a Sony FX 3 but it is not affordable for me yet)
Hey😊, I had a ZV e10 for my first 2 years of videography and content creation and I think I used it to the limit(i hate the 8bit, the low light and the stabilization issues). Thats why I'm about to buy an upgrade and I'm struggling to decide between fx30 zve1 and A7c2. I do know all the specs already but still not sure about what to pick. The fx30 is more reliable and marketed as a small fx3. I would get the fx3 if I had the money for it (so not for now). Then the zve1 has better stability and way better low light performance and dynamic range but seems to overheat. Also I don't need so many vlogging features like cinemativ mode or easy to use overlay and the question is if more low light is more important than having more lights with the fx30. I do know my craft to some degree by now. Do you have a good advice? I know with good lighting everything can look good also apsc but buying and carrying these lights is also to consider. And there are also the a7cii and a7iv with other cons. Thank you for you good videos in gernerall by the way 😊I hope you can help me. (I'm definitely video first person, and I do videos style like gawx and life if riza)
@GakuLange Thank you, but why don't you use the zve1? Because you already have the Fx3? Also a super cool video idea for you would be to know how you got into this business. How can I archive the same?
@ I’ll plan to touch on it in a future video 🙏 I love the A7cii’s photo capabilities - @PeaceGates has a great video on the camera you should definitely check out: th-cam.com/video/FijQ3v5pF9c/w-d-xo.htmlsi=YE1ZgZ8VoEecVjlD
@@GakuLange Thank you for involvement but I already follow you both so I know, but I'm still struggling to decide😌😁 It always sounds like, I love these cameras...but as a main cam I use my ...Fx3 or A7s3
