    Thanks for sharing your gifts of guitar and teaching with us.
    BTW, I bought your book. It’s excellent! One recommendation for future editions that you may want to consider, adding QR codes next to the links so we can scan them with our tablets and jump right into it.

    I've been watching your videos for a couple months now, your teachings of all of the small bits we can learn to be musical has helped me tremendously! I'm hooked on your channel so much that I clicked on the link to purchase your book. I can't wait to receive it. Looking forward to actually learning the fretboard and the CAGED system! Thanks for all of your hard work!

    Hi Ricky. In your vid on building E-shaped 7chords you used RX735X. What order do you use when building A-shaped 7 chords? Do you keep the 5th on the D-string for those? Thank you. 😊

    • @rickysguitar
      @rickysguitar  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Eyup Ed! Yeah. With the A shape I usually play XR573X. You can play it as a more shell voicing and ditch the 5th XRX73X, that doesn't feel as nice in my chording hand unless I want to add a sultry 13th on the thin E string, (ie: DMaj13 - X5X677

    I don't get why he say's you got the 6th in there, when it appears he is hitting the 3rd of the chord. Around 3:45 in the video

    • @rickysguitar

      I’m playing a 6th interval.

    • @RickMcDanielMusic
      @RickMcDanielMusic 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @rickysguitar I'm sure I'm wrong but how is a C# a 6th interval when you are playing an A major chords? In my peanut brain it's a major 3rd interval

    • @rickysguitar
      @rickysguitar  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Gotcha. That's an interval leap from the 3rd to the root of Chord I. 3rds when inverted become 6ths. This video should help. th-cam.com/video/XUJmjeIUs0w/w-d-xo.html

    • @FastCarsLoudGuitars
      @FastCarsLoudGuitars 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      it's an inversion so it makes it a 6th rather than a 3rd

    I’ve been following you and you’re awesome but this lesson is pretty advance with not a lot of explanation of what’s happening.
