that's a skewed argument. The topic is domesticated dogs and not wild dogs. Akash Gupta has genuine fear of dogs and I respect that and his stand up set was hilarious af but pet dogs charging at you violently is very different, when they are climbing at you or sniffing your nuts, they are being gentle.

People should really be more sensitive and know that if they love dogs okay but there can be people who don't like interaction with dogs and it's not uncool, it's just our personal preference. There once was a woman who had a pet snake that she loved very much. The snake was about 7 feet long and one day it just stopped eating. I agree with Jaby 100% on this one. I have a lovely dog who only wants to play with you and lick you. But, I control him anyway. Because I don't know if strangers around me appreciate that or not. Respecting other people's space is the least amount of decency you can show in a public space. It doesn't matter how good or bad a dog is. Just don't infringe on other people's space and tell them to be okay with it.
I have a dog and I'm obsessed with him. But I'm always aware and conscious of those who aren't dog-people. No one should be forced to have a dog be all over them if they never consented

So many people just don't get that although phobias are a mental thing, they are just as crippling as any physically visible disability.
I know people that would legit scream and pass out if a dog came just close enough to touch them.

I am 5 times bitten by dogs, out of 5, 2 times it was quite serious, but it healed with time and it is not a big deal. ....i laugh everytime my mother mention this....... And i have 2 dogs as pets also .... so dogs are really important for me to stay happy and positive.

You took the words from my mouth, took all my feelings out. I agree 💯. I was recently bit by a Pit Bull which didn’t break my skin but gave me a bite mark.
“She (me) didn’t have to accuse him (🐶) of biting her on his attempt. There was no blood so I don’t know why she overreacted”. I didn’t know blood was required for me to be scared of dogs.
May dog owners grow and learn. May they get educated and become, if not completely, but at least a little less blind sighted.

Happened with me. My friend's dog was jumping all around me. I could sense aggression in him. And she was like he is just playing. He wasn't. He was tryng to bite me. Started growling and coming at me. Then that b*tch held him. And took her dog home. It was traumatic experience. Stupid people with their untrained dogs. Jaby is right. There is a difference between a dog loving you and trying to kill you.

I just ran away from a dog. He scratched my feet. He hasn't taken any injection. I was so scared. Then I came here to lighten up my mood. So it worked. By the way I am fully with Jabby and akash gupta on this one. Dog phobia is a real thing and no you don't get used to it.
It's not the dogs fault, it's always the owner's fault. If the dog has not been taught well or trained or disciplined, they will show aggression. It's the owner's who is responsible. Also agreeing to Jabby's point that we don't need to impose on others, if they are not comfortable then we got to respect and understand that.
