    As for who spends more, I'd say Igbo guys. I have lots of Igbo friends and I see the way they spend on their girls. As for who is more romantic, I don't know. I'm Yoruba but I couldn't really call myself a romantic. But I have several Yoruba friends that know how to be romantic. Same with Igbo guys.
    At the end of the day just pray you land a good man lol

    Yorubas may be more romantic, party-loving and exciting, but Igbo guys are more reliable. On the whole, the former are more fun for the short-term, but the latter are better for the long-term. Although naturally there are exceptions to every rule.

Ask any girl from other tribes in Nigeria, we all wants to marry Igbo men, we are not interested in Yoruba men, they are very lazy, very deceptive, very unreliable, depends on government welfare, which they call contracts. But Igbos are very industrious, resilient, hard working and courageous.

    The last thing I care about is if a man is Yoruba, Igbo or whatever. If an oyinbo man came along and swept me off my feet I would go for it. As someone who lives abroad I don't have the luxury of tribalism in my thinking as there are not many Nigerians within my age group to chose from. My man is an Edo man and I am a Yoruba woman and we work so well. Maybe if I were in Nigeria I would be biased but like I said I just don't have that luxury, I just celebrate the fact that I am with a Nigerian man who I think is awesome.

Hence generalisation based on tribe is absurd. You could even see from your little sample that the results varied greatly. There is no way any of this is valid because it's all down to life experiences. Please stop with the generalisation, battabox.

    This is why slavery is the most horrible thing that happened in Africa. These countries that colonized Africa did the separation they want well well, not just between Africa but between Africans, they are making it now in their own countries. Brother, you are Igbo, my mother is Igbo, my father is Yoruba, and both my parents were brought up and raised in Nigeria, I was not born in Nigeria and as I am telling you these I have only spent 11 days in Nigeria in my entire life and I am 21 years old(doesn't sound good, I know right). But these does not change my love for Nigeria.Nor does it lead me into saying that my mum and dad have different identities due to tribe, not just because they are married but because, everyone has a choice to chose who they unify with even when it doesn't entail marriage. But all I can say is together we stand, divided we crumble. I will be planning to visit my country soon, I don't care who you are( Hausa gbo, Urhobo, Hausa, Yoruba, Ibibio, Fulfulde, Edo, Pidgin English, Ijaw, Kanuri,etc), when I meet with you I will respect and love you, because we are all one people. And again, the past does not determined the future. If you are hurt by the biafra war that happened years ago, the more you should value the importance of unity, peace and love but these doesn't mean Igbos don't have the right to fight(not violently) for a country of their own, because after all, we aim for freedom, prosperity, equality... #Nigeria#Africans#Human

    Everyone here saying Igbo this Igbo that. As for me, I choose both because I have dated both tribes before. My ex-bf is Yoruba and he prefers I spend money on him. When its pay day, him come they ask me for money. I dated him coz he seemed nice at the time. I wasn't sure and was doubting him since he was a student just like me but I am engineer and he wasn't working. We were both in our 20's him mid 20's, I early 20's and I must say to you he is the most immature guy I have ever dated. I liked his personality at first but saw he was money hungry and not once did he even give me a penny and I dated him for 8 months. A lot guys say women are gold diggers but if a man cannot even take me out, I don't want again. I dated two guys that were just stingy, Nigerian (Jamaica guy was okay but u know how Jamaican guys are) Men I tire!! I just want to be single. U men are just too much. I saw him(Yoruba ex) with new phone and all he wants to do is stay at home and watch tv and videos. I asked him to come teach me Yoruba says I should pay him to teach him Yoruba. The way I insulted him ehnnn. Now he is wondering why I don't call him anymore. I am not saying the guy has to be rich, all I am saying is, he has to be hardworking, God fearing, honest and not greedy. I am not a gold digger. Even though my parents brought us up as if we never had anything, I know better. But I guess men nowadays just seem to take good women for granted. Don't get me started with the way he clutches his phone as if his life depended on it, he takes his phone to the toilet, hides his phone and even when he is sleeping he clutches his phone. He asks me for my phone I give it to him coz I got nothing to hide and I am faithful and honest. All the guys I have dated so far are like this with their phone? What are u guys hiding sef? Mannn, men think they can play women abi? Smhh!!

      chidi ejiogu..you are right, i don't believe some Igbos are replying to these propaganda..but to whom ever that is not a Nigerian..i want you to know these... the channel is made by a yoruba, produce by a yoruba, presenter yoruba, editors yoruba, all the ladies that got interviewed all yoruba.. the state is a yoruba state..so a smart person will understand what is going on..they are feeling inferiority that's why they are making all these propaganda...an Igbo person will never have the time to stand on the road interviewing on who is more romantic..he is busy grinding for greatness.. in a country where one tribe owns the entertainment industry, sports, entrepreneurs, car manufacturer, importers and exporters i can go on and on.. it's 100% guarantee their will be envy jealousy and hate, towards them..my dad always says if you don't have haters that means you ain't doing things right..Nigeria has over 371 tribes over 521 languages..then ask yourself why are yorubas always focusing on igbos everyday why don't they mind their own business, recently a yoruba governor from ekiti state, Ayodele Fayose said only Igbo people can survive in Nigeria if it breaks up..yorubas nearly go crazy when the governor said it which is their brother..it's a very big insult to compare Igbos and yoruba in any aspect of life..i have never seen an Igbo divorcee, but the maximum period in yoruba marriage is six months..if that's what is called romantic then fuck relationship.. only Anambra state alone in Igboland will shut them up in terms of wealthy individuals,, everyone knows even in western media they made a documentary about the Igbos and chinese on their similarity in terms of hustling..Igbos are one of the most successful people on earth..even the history of IGBO LANDING in USA will tell you all..comparing yorubas to Igbos is like someone comparing USA with PANAMA, or JAPAN with BANGLADESH..yoruba you guys should stop the hate and noises y'all have a long way to go period...these is coming from a Tiv tribe am neither Igbo or yoruba..but just to clarify things to non Nigerians here.. cos in Nigeria even a kid knows the truth..or a simple research will tell you..everything in these video is false they edited it the way it will favoured them, it's a propaganda channel made by the yorubas to deceive foreigners but not Nigerians cos we know who is who..

    • @fm-tr7hu
      @fm-tr7hu 7 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      wasky henry, i don't mean you won't find a divorce in Igbo land, but it's very rare honestly which you know about that, i swear i haven't seen any one myself, but i won't doubt you if you have..Igbos don't just divorce for stupid things..even if they do, mostly is the ones in diaspora that has learn a little western ways and definitely has to do with adultery or assault and in that aspect also has to be continuously not one or two times before they can divorce....and when they divorce you won't even notice for the sake of the children, they always join hands as family to raise their children together..i have worked in the UN for 3 years and that gave me the opportunity to travel worldwide and learn different cultures, in conclusion i realize that Igbo culture is very very strong their culture knows the true definition of (FOR BETTER AND FOR WORST) in a marriage..and i highly respect them for that.

    romantic without money na suffer.. and hunger and frustration....what is caring when you provides whatever your girlfriend needed...woman are more comfortable when you provides their needs,not when you sit and talk and preach to them how you loved them and yet another man taken her aside bcs you said you're romantic but no money..another thing is to have the money and another thing is to have the mind to spend it..which we igbos have that edge above all tribes in Nigeria not been pride but the truth...
    furthemore if you're dating an Igbo man or marrying an Igbo man.he taken your family problems as his own too..he will always try to reach to you families if the need warranted.. if Igbo man don't spend on you he don't like you and he won't pretend to bcs time na money... and for those that said we igbos are more to our business, yes we are...bcs that's what keeps you going, and you family relations are looking up to you so there's no time to disappoint them..and we grow up and watch our age mate how far the gone how successful they gone if they're above u we try hard to meet them up..and we always try to have division of labours in source of our income that's why the bread winner of our families will work hard to stand and established others to Lessing the family burden then he married... though some we tagged it we don't marry on time..
