    Never lose your cool with customers, you are there to help them. But these situations are all trials of being a business owner. Eventually you’ll get a better clientele. Thanks for the tips

    I know this wasnt the point of the video for the most part but there are some quality of life things that you could do to make your wash experience so much better. Especially when your able to walk the roof, when dealing with gutter guards, 9/10 bringing up the pressuer washer ks the best option. m5 twist makes super easy work instead of wasting time with the blower. If they have no guards, blower for the win. Also, put together a step down that goes from the ball valve right to a 1/4 inch quick connect so you can use an m5 directly from the ball valve. I literally use it for everything. I plan on putting a video together about it and how to build one but it was a game changer for me. Stops all cramping in the hands and is so easy to use. I almost never touch a trigger gun anymore.

    • @WeberPowerWashing
      @WeberPowerWashing  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Be careful on a roof with no tigger! If that thing gets away from you, there could be trouble. - good idea tho, I never thought of that. Thank you!
      I ended up doing exactly what you said, used my m5 to rush water through everything , just didn’t get it on video 🙏🏼

      @@WeberPowerWashing And to add on that, the m5 is not a particularly i pressure nozzle. I drop it all the time lol. Different story than with a ball valve at 3k psi.

    I don't think you're crazy at all bro but you're giving the customers too much power by not having a signed agreement. Verbal agreements are fine and dandy but when you're on the phone with a customer like her and you get that feeling in your stomach, that's where the signed agreements will give you some peace of mind. Something tells me you went to this job knowing that you were going to have some sort of issue with this customer 😂 Get a CRM. I use Quote IQ and it has a signed agreement that you can directly text or email to the customer and once you have that agreement, you and the customer will know that payment should be received immediately after the job. Just my 2 cents but otherwise you're killing it and progressing at an astronomical right. Keep doing what you're doing 🤘🏽

    your Rants are way calmer than mine lol, you are not crazy, i think the lady might have thought it was going to take you all day to clean her driveway because the last guy or the home owner like me used a small pressure washer and took all day, she thought that would run her water bill up, I do not like it when people try to change the price of a job or change the terms once you arrive, I had people tell me that $60 was too much to clean the gutters, i did not do it, I hope you let her know that payment needs to be mailed out today , do you keep notes of each call and each customer so you know in the future if they call back that you know what to expect from them ahead of time, keep notes on everything you can, great tip about walking on the roof, that tip will also help prevent damage to shingles and not only the plywood under them.

    Being blue collar, self employed and owning a service based business, people walk all over you. They do not care. They only see the price tag. They only care about themselves. You're there as a worker and that's all they know you as. I've been doing this for 10 years and people just take advantage, I can't agree with your rant any more.

    Not crazy. I feel like you are learning a lot of important lessons that I had to go through as well. I used to work in the entertainment industry doing bookings and running events for clubs. Same crap there. Like 9 times out of 10 a verbal agreement/handshake was all you needed but slowly and surely those 1 out of 10s started adding up and I had to tighten the ship up because I'd get blind sided and lose money which caused me stress I didn't want. Get everything in writing before doing any work.

  • @ChrisEdmunds-km5lp

    Bang on with minimum payment. I do the same. For pressure washing it's a minimum £130.00 and for gutters it's £30.00 per side. You get more money in the USA for what you do UK prices are lower. Your not crazy happening to me as well. I pull up and people change there mind and I say I've booked you in it will cost you regardless as I'm here and you booked me. Always send a text with the agreement and get them to reply.

    You are not crazy but you dont look too professional. People treat you with more respect when you got a company shirt on, and having them sign an estimate beforehand would be best. On my estimate It says payment do upon completion. I only except later payment from clients not first time customers. A higher minimum / prices filters out the cheap customers.
