I first heard of Cannonau after reading about Sardinia's centenarians in 'The Blue Zones'. At first I thought it was endemic to Sardinia until I read that Cannonau was called Grenache elsewhere. Very happy to find out it is grown in plentiful supply around the world although here, in Australia, it's available but supply is not so plentiful. Also I read " The DNA match for Grenache/Garnacha/Garnatxa/Cannonau is exact, ". As for it's longevity benefits, I'll get back to you in about 30 years when I turn 100! 😃

How many things did you get wrong here? Di is pronounced dee...it's centenarians....and the majority of the centenarians that live in Sardinia come from the center of the island and do not eat fish... By the way Cannnonsu is just Grenache.

Genetic testing has actually shown cannanau to be unique from grenache.
