So how are you supposed to take off the access plate? It seems pretty hard with all those copper on top.

I have a Goodman unit. Still have no clue how to take anything apart and don’t want to mess with anything. I’ve lived in this house for 4 yrs and I’ve never cleaned em and I can guarantee the previous owner never did either

Your lucky.. the people who installed our ac back in the day. Put it in backwards... And in solid duck work. So I have to demo something's.... Lord and baby Jesus!
