I just want to say that your recipes and instructions have helped me immensely. I have been struggling with these techniques since forever. SO thank you so much for sharing. Love your personality to.
I’m a year late commenting but I had to tell you, you’re the first person to ever mention the floetrol stench. I’ve been using the same 16 oz red tip capped bottle for a couple years. First I noticed gross slime chunks but they were not normal ones we catch in the strainer. Then when I went to refill it, I really smelled it. I rinsed the heck out of the bottle and then noticed my flowater bottle stank too, just not as strong. Finally someone confirmed my head scratcher. Now, I rinse the bottle well between refills. Peeee-U
I jumped sky high when you threw the paint. Then I started laughing so much, my tummy hurt. And you know what, I LOVE THIS PAINTING!!!! You’re a magician, you pulled a painting out of a 3 Oz cup. WONDERFUL.
Hey Michelle! So fun, although I just realized this is 2 years old but yeah me liky it too! ❤😂:) I have tried throwing paint on canvas but not exactly like your throw d ce and the amount of color used is pale to other techniques but with such great results. I really got an appetite when you layered the cup. It looked so yummy. I hope the dry results remained the same as the beautiful one you showed us. As far as smelly floetrol goes, if it’s smelly when you first open it like I have had, the floetrol folks will reimburse you for it. I had four bottles that were bad , thinking I was going crazy because my house smelled so bad until I found the culprit. Finally someone else has had the same problem and I don’t feel so cuckoo. Cheers Michelle! It was great seeing your new to me moves. 🎉❤❤❤
I just found this channel and could hardly believe my eyes as that painting developed! I love that the pearls didn't take over, as often seems to happen. Your splat technique produces a feel similar to ninja swipes, which I also love. Subscribed!
This is GORGEOUS! I’ve been using splat for a couple years and I call it the “Sparkle Splat” because of my channel name. Would love to have you use my technique name in your videos😊. Your splats are perfect!
Very interesting technique! I love it!!! Love the colours, composition, the cells and the delicate lacing! Yet another winner, damaged canvas or not! You're an amazing artistic STAR!!! And you shine extremely bright 🌞xxx
I don’t have a studio. I’ve done the Splat before. I call it Jackson Pollack. Lol. It took a lot to get the paint off of my table and tile floor. Even With plastic. Not to mention the ceiling. Yeah. A bit overzealous, lol 😂
Wow Michelle this new splat technique of yours turned out a treat that’s for such! I really, really love this technique,, however living in Australia is somewhat confusing me regarding the products you use then trying to find them here. I will have to do some research and see what I can find out. Thank you for another fantastic video! 🤩💖🤩
How do you mix your paints, I’ve looked for ratios on just the paints but can’t seem to find the ratios, only ingredients are listed. Sorry if I’ve overlooked that.
The paint ratios differ for the colors. Paint densities are different for each color even within the same brands. As a guide, start with 1 part paint to two parts pouring medium. Then adjust for fluids, medium body and heavy body paints.
Frankly, it doesn’t stick around long for me cause I use it within a week. I’m really not sure. But if you want to make it last a very long time, don’t add water until you’re ready to use it. And only use what you’ll need. Smart Art Materials has a paint calculator for canvases. Check out Olga Soby channel or google paint calculator for canvases. It will come up right away
Hi Michele, I tried your mix, bear enamel, liq, gac, water. Then 3 tbl. Golden medium w/ high flow. OK so I added a pipette to colors and got pearls with intense color. Do you give lessons?
In the written section, you have 4oz of floetrol but you keep saying 8oz - I know this was done 2 years ago but figured this is relevant even today. Unless you have a more updated recipe. Thank you!
You had 20.5 oz of paint and PM before adding Floetrol and you brought the amount to 24 with Floetrol, so there’s no way you have 8 oz of Floetrol. I think you forgot about the 4.5 oz of Liquitex and GAC and thought you only had 16 oz in the container instead of 20.4. I might be wrong, but check it out and see.
@@gratefulcreations are you able to change the recipe in the description box? People are going to follow that recipe and get different consistency results. 😕
I waste so much time figuring out all the math 🙄 I keep a record of it but then I don’t understand my notes and have to do it all again. Usually end up different each time 😂 Ok what’s 5 parts of 32 oz ? 1 part is…. Do I divide them … then multiply? I do remember 5 grams paint, 10 grams Lqtx pm, 15 grams Floe. And doubling it I can also do 🤓 I like the McSplat 💙
The white you are putting between the layers is just white or the cloud mix? This is so darn awesome!
Yikes! Sara Taylor-like but super easy!! I love it. I am going to try this!!!❤
Love it very much!! Just beautiful!! ❤

Absolutely beautiful!
Ratio of paint/pouring medium please. As well as PM recipe.😊

Like how you said ah, Hello a fellow Canuk, like the splat tequnique , seen DJfluid art do this as well , turned out awesome , might have to try it 😀
Love it!
Lovely, please where did you get the plastic stir stick you mixed them base paint with?
Cool beans... bravo! I have been wondering if this flop/splat method would work with the pearl technique as well as wondering if Sarah's ninja swipe.

So when you say not the liquitex gloss medium, I only see matte as another option. Is that what you are using?
Yes. It’s the grey label one. It’s a little thinner too
How long would cloud pour mix last for in sealed container

I’m not very good at math. Lol 😂 I’m glad you figured it out

As soon as I get to Lima tonight I’ll do it. Thanks for the heads up
