3 MUST DO Hikes in The Switzerland of America (Ouray, Colorado)

Ouray, Colorado has some of the best hikes we’ve ever gotten to do. We started at Box Cañon with the Falls Trail - an easy 500 ft. walk. But let me tell you, this short hike had the most “oh my gosh” moments of the whole trip. Box Cañon Falls spills out thousands of gallons of water per minute - the sound of this is something you have to experience in person! Next, we did the High Bridge Trail, which is a half-mile loop that gains 200 ft. in elevation. Josh said this might have been one of the coolest hikes we’ve ever done! Towering over the waterfalls surrounded by mountains? Really, it can’t be beaten.
Finally, we had been eyeing this long waterfall that we saw earlier in the trip a few times, and we found out that we were able to hike to it! It’s called Cascade Falls. So off to the Perimeter Trail we went. This waterfall was STUNNING and you can walk behind it which has always been a bucket list item.
