- Join Firefighter Rob Dufficy for a tour of South Metro Firehouse 19, located at 8490 Trailmark Parkway in the City of Littleton. The 7,800 square foot facility was opened by Littleton Fire Rescue on August 1, 2016.
With the station Saturday you should show the crew and introduce them.

I really enjoy when the station logo is shown and the backstory explained. Its awesome that SMFR lets crews put the unique logos on their trucks and shirts too.

i like this station alot more than the other ones, im more of an out in the country type firefighter so anything with a close view of the open country areas im a definite fan of.

Love that idea, one question when a station need an update on something does the department pay the whole thing? Does the station pay the whole thing like have its own budget with in the department or does it split? Would that depend?

They sell shirts stickers and items for fundraising money for the station.
Here are two ideas
1. Each station sells there own things and give a small percent to SM
2. SM sells the stuff and give a small percent to that station
3. You tell us what you guys plan on how to do it.

Recently we had a firefighter die responding in a tanker to a early morning fire in Marion I don’t know the guy they said he had a heart attack while responding thought I’d let y’all know
Station 19 is called Area 19
why does station 19 don't have own ambulance ?
The ambulances for South Metro are positioned so that they can provide the best service to the most number of people. Station 19 is located on the edge of the district and does not run many calls so there is no need for a dedicated ambulance at the station. Engine 19's crew is one of the few ALS engines with a paramedic so they can provide the same level of medical care that an ambulance can without delay while the ambulance responds from another station to provide transport. South Metro runs 19 ambulances daily, but has 29 (soon to be 30) fire stations which means that 10 stations (soon to be 11 stations) do not have an ambulance at them.

@@SouthMetroFireRescuePIO I would love to see a "Fleet Friday" highlighting all the reserve units you maintain. It would be great to know where they previously served and how often they've seen action since going to reserve status.
@@SouthMetroFireRescuePIO Maybe add to Station Saturday your maintenance shop (or others of the facilities that are not front-line stations). It is likely as interesting of building as my local department's! Could cover some of the reserve vehicles then too.

You can see it from Wadsworth and TrailMark Parkway intersection but Google hasn't come into the TrailMark subdivision since Station 19 was built.

@@SouthMetroFireRescuePIO "people waited longer than they wanted to for medical and other help" the people don't want to wait for emergency services... you reduce the time and will still get those that complain about it taking "too long"! Reducing average response time is all you can do. Looks like you did it well!
